@SergiyKolodyazhnyy better: Get a small microcontroller and use that. Have it ping your phone when the door opens. You can attach it with double sided tape and have it ping your phone. That way it bothers no one.
But yeah, I guess it's possible it would upset your managers :/

Note: CISCO IPSec can be achieved via StrongSwan and a lot of configuration, but it's tricky. PPTP is not secure anymore. ANd L2TP over IPSec requires both L2TP and IPSec configuration. Pick at your leisure, although my answer explains PPTP — Thomas Ward ♦ Jun 3 '15 at 16:38
PPTP isn't secure, so what's the alternative then ? Is ssh tunneling a good alternative ?

@Anwar The lyrics of Germany's national anthem were written when the idea of "nations" was still quite young and what is now Germany was a collection of rivalling fiefdoms.
So it makes sense for both of them for similar reasons but different historical contexts.
In fact, it makes sense that national anthems will frequently turn out to be about nations that don't exist yet because they usually adopt a suitable and popular anthem once they become nations.

I usually edit wikipedia, but here at askubuntu is a little bit frustrating when I spent time, don't change author intentions, just add a screenshot or reference and the edit is rejected

I don't agree with the rejection.
It doesn't change the meaning or add a new answer. It explains how to do something based on the existing answer.
I would have accepted it.

@TheWanderer no I'm not. I admit looks a big edit, but it was just screenshots, description of the type of test and how to read the results. Its a pity to create a new answer just for those few things.
