@ByteCommander that's one of the great things about zenity, for some things you have to type zenity --help at command line, like zenity --help-forms . Which is equally useless as its man-page

I tried everything and nothing works I have 2 brand new USB keys 3 more packaged. I have 3 valid Windows 8.1 ISO files and yet no approach works. I tried Unetbootin takes forever to copy 4.3GB to the USB stick and does not work. I tried Ask Fedora approach using: 1) Formatting USB drive to ...

In terms of just boot, it is impossible to have a bad implementation of BIOS.

Because all the BIOS does is read the boot sector of the hard drive, and executes that code.

UEFI needs to work with filesystems and traversal of directories.

In terms of configuration and the actual BIOS interface, there are plenty of bad implementations!

I had a laptop running on BIOS that would not boot ever unless I entered the BIOS settings and changed settings. The CMOS battery was fine. It just refused to save anything.

this. Dell is good once you get away from the very cheap side.

ok I will say my Dell has been one of the worst if not worst. It was so bad when I had linux on I had to press f12 every time i needed to boot because it wouldnt auto load the OS without some prodding
