10:00 PM
this seems like spam to me askubuntu.com/questions/804217/…; note that the "?" actually points to a URL. looks like OP edited it to make the spam more obvious

@edwinksl if you think it's spam flag it as such?

i wanted a second opinion

@ByteCommander I didn't make a mistake.
In computer software, an application binary interface (ABI) is the interface between two program modules, one of which is often a library or operating system, at the level of machine code. An ABI determines such details as how functions are called and in which binary format information should be passed from one program component to the next, or to the operating system in the case of a system call. Adhering to ABIs (which may or may not be officially standardized) is usually the job of the compiler, OS or library writer, but application programmers may have to deal with ABIs directly when writing...

reading that wiki seems to suggest API is more correct

/facepalm
I totally got them mixed up.
@ByteCommander you can have a cookie.

10:06 PM
:)

:)
Still learned something though, haven't heard about ABI yet.

Goodnight all! :)

Though "Abi" is also the abbreviation for "Abitur" which is the German high school graduation.

Will have to finish my Japanese audiobook course section tomorrow, I'm just falling asleep now and can't keep track of what's being said...

Night Panda.

10:09 PM
@ParanoidPanda Goodnight! :)

@ParanoidPanda Night.

@ByteCommander not trying to nitpick, but just a comment: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ has nothing to do with the OS. it belongs to apt, which is an application. Program loader cares only about apt binary itself having correct magic number
( that's about the post about the extensions )

Uhm... Right. But Ubuntu would not be complete without apt, so I kind of consider that part of the system.

Deletes apt to see what happens...

Please also delete dpkg and then tell me how you're going to reinstall it.

10:14 PM
blegh question and NAA askubuntu.com/questions/804217/…
not the right answer

10:29 PM
if you have T-Mobile, you get 1 hour free access to GoGo in-flight WiFi o_O

1 hour seems underwhelming

well you also get free texting for the whole time
and it's better than nothing :p

I don't get why , but functions that operate on active windows in Gdk need two calls to activate them
What kind of stooped is this ?

@Serg extra customization
:p
TMO's pretty landing page
better if viewed as an MP4: imgur.com/ZJ3WIko.mp4

no one loves Montana

10:38 PM
lol

Is that the T-mobile network coverage map?

I'm pretty sure their Canadian partners reach there. The coverage map has a pretty sharp cutoff in that area
@ByteCommander pretty much
they claim 97% of VZW's coverage in the US

Verizon?

Aha.
In Germany, where T-Mobile/Telekom comes from, their largest competitor is 1&1.

10:42 PM
I doubt it would be Verizon :p

Their TV advertisement battles are really funny.

heh

Each company is basically insulting the other one in every new spot they produce.
Well, insulting is probably too strong, it's more a parody.

sounds like what Comcast and FiOS were doing a while back

gosh i wanna pass out , but have to wait till at least 9 or 8 pm

10:44 PM
Get some coffee.
Or a Red Bull/Rockstar/Monster Energy/28 Black/...

But turn the lights out and volume up.

@Zacharee1 Really! :)

@Zacharee1 WUT

@edwinksl a mod commented saying the Q is bad. Of course it's going to be closed

11:53 PM
Python experts, please help stackoverflow.com/q/38648485/3701431

@Zacharee1 all i see is "question not found"

@edwinksl maybe because it's an audit? idk

@Serg mm, I think maybe a little bit.

@Seth can you please look into my question ? stackoverflow.com/q/38648485/3701431

@Zacharee1 I just thought about it hard enough ;P

11:55 PM
@edwinksl oh, you also need 3k to see those I think

Drives me slightly . . . nuts

@Zacharee1 rip, not 3k yet

@Seth wat
@edwinksl you're close though

@Serg why are you a 200 rep n00b in SO

@Serg that drives you nuts? I didn't know you could go further into nutdom

11:55 PM
@edwinksl because I spend all my time here
@Zacharee1 there's lots of ways i can go nuts, you don't wanna know about them all. Especially about covering myself up in peanutbutter and letting squirrels lick it all

@Serg good, AU needs you more than SO does

@Serg that's a disturbing image

@Serg that's an interesting fetish

@edwinksl it's actually a reference to comedy video made by Markiplier , one of my fav youtubers. In reality , I only cover myself in mayo

I think this is more unclear than OT askubuntu.com/review/close/594776
@Serg Markiplier's so funny
I've slowly started watching more
@edwinksl 'tis old chap. sips tea

11:59 PM
