anybody use ubuntu-GNOME 16.04?? coz inspired by @ParanoidPanda I deleted Ubuntu unity and installed Ubuntu-GNOME. I have some small issues here : I cant create any file/folder on my desktop (O)_(O) . There is a folder ~/home/Desktop but any files created inside that folder is not reflected on my desktop. Because of issues with sending messages, I wanted to reinstall it. I ran:
sudo apt purge skype
sudo apt autoremove
Then I wanted to run:
sudo apt install skype
But it failed and shows the "You have held broken...

Disclaimer - I have no idea what I'm doing and might be in the entirely wrong place for this. I've got several different technologies that are all new to me at the same time and not sure where they problem is.
