I used to think Oracle were more or less modest company. But as of late, it looks like they want to become the new Microsoft

just checked...Oracle stock float is 160 billion.

Thanks to them we have LibreOffice and MariaDB.

Technically I think Oracle owned Sun Microsystems which had Open Office which became Apache Office with input from IBM which in turn was forked to Libre Office... if I remember my history correctly.

Then again I remember when IBM made PS/2 and said OS/2 was going to be the Window's killer ...lol

I must admit it Linux really nailed it in the multi-tasking, multi-desktop, multi-everything department.
