:(

user136984
@hbdgaf: What about this?

user136984
VTC this 15.10 question.

@ParanoidPanda That one I can see. And ACDC is decent. I really like some of their stuff. Others not so much.

user136984
11:06 AM
Glad we found something good you could see! ;)

@ParanoidPanda Decent answer to a decent question. I only VTC for ahead of releases if it looks like it's not going to get an answer or if we're getting bombed with bugs/questions.

user136984
My musical taste is very wide though, so I'm sure that there aren't very many who like all I like, or at least I haven't met them yet! :D

Well, I like a lot of different music. I can identify songs I like that particular other people might like though.

11:38 AM
Time for the Bee Gees I think! ;D

12:31 PM
Does anyone here have 2FA for github and ever got the git in terminal working?
I just enabled 2FA and now the world is collapsing on me

12:46 PM
After some research (and by that I mean some internet searches later), I think I need an OAuth token, but still no idea how to configure the terminal to use it

user136984
12:59 PM
I would like to design a new Ubuntu window etc theme, where is a good starting point? I mean is there any documentation on this or anything?

@ParanoidPanda: that was a terrible edit why did you approve???

user136984
@Fabby: Oh dear... I didn't intend to approve that edit! I was just going through the review queue, and then I thought I would get myself some Chocolate Cake, so I got a bowl and put it on my keyboard... Apparently that is a bad idea because it pushes every key on the keyboard, closes my browser, changes my firewall rules (my settings were open), and seemingly, approves an edit... :D

user136984
Although I don't remember that edit, so it may not have been then that it got approved, but I don't think that I would knowingly approve it...

user136984
Strange...

user136984
Ooh! But I forgot to eat the Chocolate Cake, I think that it is time for some now!

1:12 PM
@Zacharee1 I'm very sorry to tell you, but that was a terrible edit... Please look at how it looks now
(that's the standard you should aspire too!) ;-) :P

@Fabby it's not like I tried very hard

@ParanoidPanda Chocolate cake, cheese and reviewing don't mix well...

user136984
:D

Next time, try mixing reviewing and Vitriol... :P
@Zacharee1 Yeah, that's what I want you to do next time: try very hard, or just don't bother and let the all-caps-lock title slip...
>:-)

user136984
Well, at least it was the Chocolate Cake that approved that dreadful edit and not me! :P

1:14 PM
@Zacharee1 Otherwise you create more work for poor shlubs like me...
@ParanoidPanda Yeah: my point exactly!
Keep the chocolate cake as far away from reviewing as possible.
Another floor will do, but another building would be best! :D

user136984
:D

user136984
If you've seen what Kung Fu Panda will do to get food, you've already seen me and chocolate cake! :D

@ParanoidPanda In another building inside a safe deposit box! :D

user136984
Nothing stands in my way for long when chocolate cake is involved! >:P

user136984
Perhaps we would need a nuclear bunker with blast doors... But even then, I wouldn't be so sure... :D

1:28 PM
@ParanoidPanda There is one from the 1950s close to where you live... :P So pay more attention next time!

user136984
I once accidentally lost some chocolate cake, and I turned the whole house up-side-down and managed to break a door in the process, so don't try anything with my chocolate cake! >:P

user136984
There may be a nuclear bunker currently, but if my chocolate cake makes it in there, it will exist no more! >:D

user136984
Anyway, I have to go now and sleep some of that chocolate cake off! :P

@Pilot6: congratulations on the 15K!

4:06 PM
what Ubuntu version, an are you 32 or 64 bit

@Unihedron I did.
I will need to do it again on my new computer.

@Seth Do you use SSH?

Lemme figure it out again and I can walk you through it.
@Unihedron I don't remember.

oh I already developed a workaround

I figured you would have ;)
It's not hard though.
I don't have time to dig into it atm, but if you want I can ping you about it later.

4:08 PM
it's to disable 2FA, push to the repositories, then re-enable it

-.-
Could someone show me a screenshot of a default Unity Tweak Tool fonts section? I accidentally changed a setting there and now my fonts are all weird. (and I'm not sure which)

How do I know if my settings are the defaults?

You hit the restore defaults button.

someone has managed to get a directory onto my file server whos name is just '&' and I can't get rid of it.
from bash I ought to be able to just do rm rf '&' or rm -rf "\&" ?

@SameerPradhan And whats about libaio1 in the answer?

4:23 PM
@jokerdino tried that, made it worse o_O

Woops
Just play with the settings and stop when you are satisfied.

I can tell when it isn't exactly the same -.-
but I'll try
@Unihedron thanks

4:35 PM
agh
the titlebar font is still wrong
huh, there we go. Closer anyway.

5:18 PM
one then two :)
one 2 one two lol :))

5:50 PM
@A.B. still same error after executing the same as mentioned in answer

6:06 PM
I bet you might have better luck on one of oracles supported distros

6:34 PM
@earthmeLon here is a good place

6:55 PM
Yeah, just finding this
Can this be accessed over IRC?

@MikeEdenfield move all important files to another directory and then delete the entire directory with the weird files. (Is what I would do)
If it happens again: then you should start investigating..

Q: Ubuntu GNU/Linux AMD graphics card issue

darijan2002when I bought my dell laptop, it came with Ubuntu 12.04 lts, but I removed it and installed windows 8.1 (now 10) on uefi my story is: whenever I install any debian/Ubuntu distro, I use the open-source ATI driver (btw my graphics cards are AMD Radeon HD 8850/R9 M200x and Intel HD Graphics 4400 I g...

7:11 PM
@earthmeLon I'm afraid not.

Any people here have experience with GoDaddy, and digitalocean?

NO
=)

I have a server from digitalocean, and a domain from GoDaddy, but how do I link the domein name to my digitalocean server?

@blade19899 You should have an IP address

@A.B. I think I found it. Need to see if by typing the domain name, it goes to my server...

7:15 PM
@blade19899 I think that will take some time, but an attempt is worth it.

@A.B. Okay! Nap time!

@blade19899 The domain servers need to be informed and that takes a while.

@A.B. Ah. Okay!

blade, look into nameservers
You need to have GoDaddy point the nameservers to DigitalOcean, if you setup the DNS at DigitalOcean
While you're in the GoDaddy account, you should go ahead and transfer that domain to Namecheap.com and stop using GoDaddy :P

@A.B. it works. Now.
@earthmeLon namecheap? I'll take a look at that!

7:24 PM
Yeah, honestly it's because of polital reasons I won't describe here and am glad to let you make your own decision. I also like their interface more :D
Hey guys, I'm trying to help this guy who, as soon as he runs a bash script, he loses stuff like $PATH and other environmental variables. Not really sure what would be causing it: askubuntu.com/questions/684269/…

@blade19899 eww, yeah, get off godaddy. Ubuntu has a deal with gandi.net for ubuntu members.

You guys are telling me this now xD
@Seth This is not for me. I am setting this up a website for a friend.

@blade19899 I only mentioned gandi because if canonical/ubuntu has a deal with them they're probably good ;)
but get away from godaddy. They are evil.
3

@Seth Link to their evilness?

7:29 PM
@Seth Ah dammit. They support those crap. FUDGE ME

;p

@Seth ;(

@blade19899 that was fast. :)

1 hour later…
8:48 PM
Awww! I wanted to see this one answered: askubuntu.com/questions/684303/…
:P

9:00 PM
@earthmeLon What was it?

@earthmeLon It's answered here

9:21 PM
Thanks :D

9:49 PM
@earthmeLon You're welcome... When you get at 10K you'll also be able to see deleted answers (or was that 15K?)

It's 10k.

@ParanoidPanda: better reviewing, please: this is a terrible edit so next time, treat it like adding a tag: automatic reject.

10:13 PM

10:29 PM
mmmm, making chips out of cellery root

10:44 PM
ooh, neat idea.
@Fabby What qualifies it as a bad edit?
Fixing a major typo isn't bad.

@Seth this guy's Modus Operandi is to fix one single thing only in any edit just for the rep.
(he started with tags, now he's on to misspelled words in titles)

ah, well in that case you're using the wrong reject reason ;)

ah?

It should be "reject and edit" where you fix the rest of it.

I've given up with 2 guys on this:
snoop
and
StarOS

10:50 PM
@Fabby haha, did you see the edit comment ;p

I just reject...

couldn't be bothered to write "changed wfi to WiFi"...

@Seth You should be able to see my edit stats
I'm convinced I use "reject|accept and edit" % much more then anyone else...
:P
@Mateo yes, one of the reasons I call it a rep-whore
@Mateo he does that with most of his edits.
back to trying to fit in one more answer...
@Zacharee1: we agree the AP on the laptop doesn't make sense...
;-)

@Fabby yup

:-)

11:31 PM
Watching Top Gear RN. Too bad it was canceled, such an awesome show

@RPiAwesomeness There'll be a new one...
ITV instead of BBC

Yeah, through Amazon

@Fabby Should've used the Porky Pig one
:)

Meh... No copyright infringement here! ;-)
Shutting down...
