If someone is asking a dumb question that could easily be figured out by googling it are we allow to send them a lmgtfy.com link? Assuming we provide an explination for why the question is not satisfactory, are we allowed to do this?
I've just asked a question on Stack Overflow which was a prime candidate for googling. I admit it was a poor question and with a little bit of research I would have found the answer. It annoyed me that someone put a let-me-google-that-for-you link in the comments. It got right up my nose.

@hourback I'm not an expert in grub, but I'd thinksudo update-grub would do it. If I were you that's what I would try anyway. If that doesn't work feel free to ask a question on the site.
there was one in the first app-showdown canonical put on. it didn't perform well at review time, and i don't remember the app name. i'm sure it was there though.
