I was going by suggestion on /r/buildapc. I was going w. an AMD FX-8320, but it turns out that CPU is 3 years old and aging fast. The i5-4460 and i5-4440 were both suggested, and the 4460 is affordable for me with the mobo deal

No, there isn't Hyperthreading, but it has 4 cores and it has pretty good performance on multi-core processing and much better single-core processing compared to the AMD
As for the patch, I had got this Adafruit RPi kit two X-mases ago and it came with it... I wanted a place to put the patch on and the Maker shirt was perfect

Other than price, I'm pretty certain it makes a lot more sense to buy a known pci-e card and a adaptor if you need pci-e and need to be certain it works
(or go to the store with a phone, and look up what the model has ;p)
