Does anyone know if there is a software license that is basically: "Free for use in explicitly free products. Must be negotiated in paid products or free products with premium versions" ?
@Oli Yes, I knew about the non-commercial CC licensing. The only issue there is that their template builder specifically notes for software is bad idea.
@Oli - their template builder notes it as a blanket statement in the faq. Probably due to the intricacies of code being trivially modifiable to be non-derivative.
@aking1012 Hmm yeah I've read it now. Well what you're describing is not an (OSI approved) open source license so you're probably best off finding something that uses the model you want and basing a custom license around that.
@Oli - yeah, I know. I think that license type should definitely exist in a standardized form. Might get more people on the OSS/FOSS bandwagon. I just couldn't seem to find anything.
Also, thanks for the input... It looks like I'm going to have to do something custom on this one and cut together a couple of licenses.
