@Hello71 like what exactly is your point? No one ever stated that root is the only name that can be mapped to UID 0 or something of that sort. Roland was right in writing that there is the root user as this is historically the preferred name for the full right users. I don't really understand the correction.
I don't get the correction either. In fact, the reason I tried to avoid getting overly technical is because the person asking the question evidently doesn't understand the intricacies of the Operating System at our level, so it makes no sense confusing him/her any further.
I just press the print button and then OK and then nothing happens at all. When I try to print from adobe acrobat I get an error that it can't connect tot he printer. When I print with evince the file just prints out totally wrong!!!
is there any software that will print out a decent pdf file resized to fit the page?

It depends what you require. If you are in the geeky corner, why not try w3m? It runs in the terminal.

@Rinzwind I live in sweden where they send TV from usa a year after it's has aired in USA! that sucks, so I stream the series a day after they have aired in the USA! :D
@Alvar: I do think if we had a Q on all webbrowsers (that indeed is not a dupe) we should not restrict answers to not include cli solutions or streaming capable browsers.

For some reason there is a bug in some of the PDF viewers (acroread, foxit) that even if you select your printer from the drop down menu, it will not use it
Even if you see your printer in the drop down menu and it works with open office etc... you must ignore the drop down menu and select to use a CUSTOM printer
then in the custom printer box you have to type /usr/bin/lp as your custom printer
and it will print... O_o ... I know... makes no sense but ...
anyone know how in lubuntu, to change the category that your apps fall under in the lxpanel's main menu? for example to make gedit fall under programming instead of accessories ??

@htorque Sure, but I activate root on all my installations. I don't use graphical root, but there are a good plenty of times it has saved myself when a client decides to try and play server admin
