the world can be destroyed, it's just pixels, and you have bombs and guns lol

My game is... well not done yet, but I'm hoping to make it a glatiator card game where you first bit for lots of slaves, then in the second stage of the game, send your slaves into the arena to give you glory. Most glory/money wins

But, I barely have the first half working

Plus, all of the bots that you're playing against do everything instantly, so it can be hard to see what's happening without reading the log

lol well at least you know it needs to be accessible

I'm modeling some of the gameplay on some aspects of a card game I own that is really fun

I might have had a chance earlier today, but I fucked around porting my OpenGL boilerplate to emscripten

I used to play OpenLiero SO MUCH in elementary school

Some friends and I made a modded version and came up with a new way to play it

I liked OpenLiero but I didn't get to play it as much, I always played the DOS version

I think it would be awesome with slightly different physics and more jetpacky thing instead of the grapple

and a totally different, balanced weapon set

the skill mechanic is shifted off aiming the way I want to do it, and instead onto interleaving weapon reload times and fire rates

Yeah that's true in a lot of cases.

Definitely check out Magrunner.

That has both.

IMO, it is more true for puzzle games. Since it is often singlerplayer. Multiplayer games could bypass those two standards if it has solid gameplay and community of other players to play with. But for puzzle games... I am yet to see successful puzzle game standing ~~alone~~ firm for its gameplay element solely.

I could probably show you some but I'm too tired to think about it right now.

Boot into the rescue system provided by Hetzner and check what damage you have done. Transfer out any files to a safe location and redeploy the server afterwards. I'm afraid that is the best solution in your case.

Depending on the file system in question, he might be able to simply re-link the directories back to / with tune2fs or similar.

That probably also depends on rm, doesn't it unlink every file in the directory before unlinking the directory?

That would prevent the system from usefully relinking the directories because the directories would be empty

For files, yes (directories keep their parents linked in ".." and this is usually kept in a "deleted" directory so can be used to automatically recreate the tree). For the system files itself it's usually quicker to reinstall, but for user files, the location on disk of the directory inodes gives you a good idea in which directory a given file belongs. Well, unless you're running at 90% or more capacity filled all the time ...
