We log everything exceeding the duration threshold (default = 5 seconds), anything involved with deadlocks or lengthy blocking, and then aggregate [query_/procedure_]stats data that exceeds the configured thresholds (that is a science of itself).

@AaronBertrand okay I guess what we are trying to track not that they finally gave me some details is this. ETL process ran for 2 hours finished successfully but now a table that was populated is Empty.
(You don't need the client, you just need to sift through the schema. We're trying to do a better job of showing people how to mine for this data without relying on the client.)
Not to avoid the client, but because not all analytical queries are supported in the client.

I think this is wrong and should be reverted. I have been using these tags to both tag and search in the past and would like to keep using them. IMO, sql-select is an acceptable synonym, but sql-insert or sql-update are not.

@swasheck I don't see why that couldn't use an index, would depend on what else the query did against that table.
And also the complexity of the expression.
For example CASE WHEN foo = bar OR date_created > yesterday OR status = 1 OR ordertotal < 20.50 END is unlikely to generate a plan that will use the right index every time.
