I think I just finished troubleshooting a ultrasonic cleaner... it's supposed to have 100W output to a 2.8L tank, and the circuit is so exciting - the only thing that's isolated is the actual output.
but it looks like one of the output IGBTs was shorted out, so maybe it'll only be a $2.50 fix to a $600 piece of equipment.
I never do the little jobs around the house; I always think about what I should be charging for my hourly rate and I just can't make the business case for the job.
It is cheaper to order new dishes than to spend half an hour washing them

@W5VO Ever read "The Design of Everyday Things"? Its a great read, and talks about how the model a person automatically constructs should match up with how the device works, or things will go wrong
@ThePhoton Just define log( -1 ) as k(ph) and if memory serves me right log( -a ) would then equal log( a ) + k(ph). Et voila you can do math with a constant.
