11:00 PM
No way - I tried. Spent a month dry and had the worst incident of my life. Ended up in a car crash with a drunk driver in through my side door. If I was drinking, I would not have been in that car. See, teetotalism is bad mmmkay

Hahaha

...in through your side door?
Like his body, or body parts?

@MarkHulkalo It was a poo attempt at a "you people" joke.

@RoryAlsop you OK? (didn't read up much, can't find what this is about)

@Tid

11:02 PM
I just watched Everest. I thought it was shit LOL

@TildalWave Rory had a Roofie Coolada at the bar, and got taken home by another dude.

OH FFS THEY PUT CHRISTMAS MUSIC ON GMUSIC ALREADY

Colada*

@MarkHulkalo dude you're making me google too much

@MarkHulkalo Yeah and his ear got all messed up

11:03 PM
had a what?

Roofie Colada

benzodiazepine?

@MarkHulkalo Is that a new flavor? It sounds delicious

Close. Flunitrazepam

why the fuck would he take that?

11:04 PM
Oh, he didn't. @Ohnana slipped it into his drink.

@TildalWave He's kidding. @Rory had some sort of inner ear problem while he was driving at 50mph, he lost all coordination and balance essentially.

@DavidFreitag yeah I'm not sure which is worse LOL

@TildalWave I dunno that new Colada sounds mighty tasty...

wait what caused it?
besides old age :)

@TildalWave The roofie colada

@DavidFreitag Labyrinthitis - sudden strike of an illness with a silly name. At 50mph. Just managed to stop, get out of the car and throw up. Then couldn't get back in the car due to the extreme loss of coordination it gives you. So an hour an a half later an ambulance picks me up also suffering from mild hypothermia
That ^

@DavidFreitag hmmm yeah that doesn't say much really

@TildalWave Rories are known to be enigmatic. I just count it as a win since everyone is - for the most part - ok.

google for "illness with a silly name" returns like 549,593,988,394.23 results

LOL
No, I think the illness with the silly name is Labyrinthitis and it stuck suddenly

Texas man accused of assaulting girlfriend after she wouldn't smell his armpit

11:09 PM
@MarkHulkalo Where the hell do you find this shit? LOL

@DavidFreitag even that doesn't really say much of its cause :P
so some sort of infection
or virus
or head injury

@TildalWave I dunno man, do I look like the inner ear of a rock god named rory?

or ...

@DavidFreitag The internet :p

@DavidFreitag well no but you might have just identified a potential source ... too loud music
it can happen, I've seen it

11:11 PM
Could be a hole in his brain/sinus connection thingy.

and I was nearly there too

Sneezing too hard could cause a massive dizzy attack

@MarkHulkalo eustachean tube?

If you've got a CSF leak

Hello @TildalWave

11:11 PM
Anywhere

@MarkHulkalo And it can also cause a leak in the rear of your trousers if you've just had Taco Bell

@RoryAlsop hey Roro :) how's it hanging? :))

No definite cause, no definite cure, just loads of anti-emetics and waiting till you can walk again

@RoryAlsop did they scan you for viruses with Norton?

11:13 PM
I bet it was a transdimensional rift that opened inside your head when you wielded your mighty axe.

Best euphemism yet, @DavidFreitag

It's -2°C and it's pouring out. It's going to be a fun ride home.

@RoryAlsop you know that trick of sleeping with one foot on the ground, right?

$1.53 for gas at some places. Can't complain.
That's per GALLON

11:28 PM
TX?

my rule of thumb: price of gas in $/gal in the US = price of gas in €/L in France

it's a bit cheaper than that here, but not by much... I think it's 1.21 €/l (unleaded)
and $1.53 is 1.43 €

@TildalWave and 1 gallon = 3.79 liter

yeah I know so 3.2x cheaper there than here

@Gilles == 1/4 price of gas in Israel

11:45 PM
@AviD How much does a gallon of gas cost in Israel?

@DavidFreitag how much is a gallon

8 mins ago, by Gilles
@TildalWave and 1 gallon = 3.79 liter
@MarkHulkalo What version of VS do you use?

last time I checked, I think it was about 7.5 ILS per liter, which is just under 2$. so that makes it about 7-7.5 $ per gallon?

@AviD :O

@DavidFreitag Like I said, around 4x
no wait, I'm wrong - I thiunk the price is lower, around 6 ILS / liter.
so thats less than 6$ per gallon. whooo!

11:49 PM
@AviD Hmm it costs me ~$45 to fill my 14 gallon tank once a month, so that's about $3.20/gallon, so not 4x

bascially, the price you pay per gallon, I get a liter.

$1.53 for gas at some places. Can't complain.
?

yeah that's probably TX

@AviD He's on drugs or something

@MarkHulkalo hey now

thats also the prices I remember last time I was there

11:50 PM
not everywhere in US the price of gas is less than the price of water :P

@AviD Depends on where you went, I live on northeast coast

I remember people complaining that it was getting close to 2$.
@DavidFreitag NJ? lower tax, though

@AviD Yeah CT has massive tax

... Simon: You know what else is massive? My ween ...

@TildalWave Yeah, maybe if it were opposite day.

11:55 PM
@TildalWave erm...wut?
@DavidFreitag costs me £55 to fill my tank once a week, only not for the next couple of weeks as no driving... yay, I guess...

@RoryAlsop $84 A WEEK?!?!?!

@DavidFreitag Yup - fuel here is 'spensive

I pay 35€/month for my transport pass

oh, driving is still much cheaper than getting the train in to work
Train would cost me over £100 a week

granted, that's after the 50% employer subvention, the price of the pass is 70€
still, driving sounds bloody expensive

11:59 PM
@RoryAlsop if your head is spinning when you go to bed, you could try sleeping with one foot off the bed and on the floor like if you wanted to get up ... it helps
