@sv. Well, we certainly take into account the opinions and input of ordinary users in making decisions. For instance if in Meta a user makes a good argument for why things should be done differently, that can persuade us to change how we do things.
@sv. But it's not like a democracy where whatever gets the most upvotes automatically becomes official policy. There is democracy in the sense of moderator elections once the site gets out of Beta though.
