Would it be viable to send a wind turbine which will be propelled by wind during a lift to space? Will it be able to produce significant amount of electricity while in space?
the gif frame interval is maximum of 32767 / 100s so it would have to have a frame about each 5.5 minutes, so that's 264 frames ... each probably about 100 kB ... too much. And not to mention that caching would be a nightmare, with 263 separate such gifs
I think you'll find that moving just trades one bag of problems for another. You may like one bag more than another one, but everywhere has serious issues.

@LucasKauffman It's the diversity that is so appealing to me. If i tried really hard i could breakfast in France and then dinner in the Italian riviera.
@DavidFreitag That's some travelling. One thing I found is the US has more cultural diversity within a given area. EU has more diversity overall, but you have to travel to experience it.

@Adnan In Italy everybody has a cousin in New Jersey. If all you had to go on was the reports of Italians, you'd assume 80% of the US lived in New Jersey.
Ok, fine. Of the people i know i would classify at least 80% of them to be unintelligent. Of the remaining 20% half of them are regular people and the other half are ridiculously intelligent.
If I wanted to generalize, then I guess the best thing about Americans (that's rarely true for Europeans) is that they speak their mind. I like honesty and detest beating around the bush.
@DavidFreitag Of the people I meet day-to-day, most are courteous, smile at you, wave at your kids, open doors for you. Now I can't say I'd want to be married to any of them, but people in general are pretty reasonable.
@Adnan Actually, now that I get what you meant, it's a good point. If you look at utilities infrastructure, you can get a good overview of how "friendly" people really are to each other. If nobody shares anything, then something must be fishy.
@DavidFreitag I don't really know what to tell. It's just the general perception. People perceive taller people as more confident and successful. I've been sexually rejected many times primarily based on my height (although the facial configuration played some role, but it was mainly the height).
@Adnan That doesn't apply here. You're confident if you're confident. You can be 7 feet tall but if you can't make eye contact you aren't getting laid ever.
@DavidF Now, look. I'm not complaining about it. I have a nice and successful working life, great social life, and in a very loving relationship. However, would being taller have made my life easier? Absolutely yes.
@DavidFreitag People just treat you differently. Better. Just like being white as opposed to being black in pretty much every part of the western world. (although on a much different scale)
@Adnan Nope, we are all seriously poor college students of roughly the same level of intelligence. There are obviously differences in personality but there aren't any outliers.
The biggest difference would probably be attractiveness but i don't typically grade my friends by rank based on how attractive they are.
Man, I used to play pro basketball and let me tell you with my height I was small compared to most others. I swear I could probably walk on water if I wore some of their shoes, they were bloody canoes.
Well, to be honest, I'm a bit biased in being unbiased (yeah, I just made that up). I take a very inhuman look at those interactions. I see those things objectively. Sadly, that makes me miss out on the true human connection stuff.
@DavidFreitag Oh, but I am missing. Imagine a person right in front of your eyes, kissing you and telling you "I love you". Then you reply. Knowing deep down inside that you'll never ever be able to feel it.
@Adnan Dunno, I've clearly seen you react emotionally to certain stuff, so I just can't agree on that, at least not to the severity that you're describing. From what you're saying it sounds almost as if you were completely devoid of emotions, numb if you will, and I don't believe that's the case. You probably wouldn't have any need being here if that was the case. People like that tend to be lethargic.
@kiBytes Sauna, and then party, that's okay. 'Sauna party' sounds something very bad. Sauna is a place to find peace and relaxation. It's almost sacred.

@kiBytes its a mixed bag, really. I tend to pull the more mature, challenging projects. On the other hand, a hugely overwhleming preponderance of security consulting projects is either the simple "we need someone to tell us what to do!", "halp an auditor is coming" or just the usual corporate bullshit.
@Adnan actually, you were complaining about your height before ... and considering your lack of empathy that you later said you suffer ... why would you care? :P
it also wouldnt help you, it has a lot more to do with location, specific field and specialities, my network, personal preferences, etc, rather than an absolute value.

@kiBytes ah. Most of the corporate types do expect that, and often create situations ("No documents leave the premises!") where its the only way to work. Personally I avoid it, to the point of nearly refusing to work onsite (except for meetings, and few other exceptions).
But that's just me, I'm spoiled, and can afford to be picky.
