@PaulVargas Seems like a pretty solid impression to me! Thank you, the answer is now deleted. Feel free to also flag such things, as that's a sure way to make sure one of us sees it.
(You can just tick "other" on the flag pop-up and it will give you the opportunity to explain.)

@Tau The Room is read only
@Tau the Roon is read only. Cannot type in it.

Tau
@BenjaminHoogterp I changed the settings, you are a co-owner.

@AJHenderson wow, not really trying "...to be clear that I have biases"

what ended up happening with Dan?

@swasheck Hi :)
he's just changed his name again
Sep 29 at 3:33, by maj nem ɪz dæn
FYI, Daи = maj nem ɪz dæn (my name is Dan)
he can run, but he can't hide :)

i see. that's odd.
@JackDouglas how're things?

@swasheck generally good thanks, how are you?

also generally well.

4:44 PM
@swasheck how're the family?
btw I loved that 'Cereal Boxes' was on that cartoon :)

doing great. my son wants to open a soup kitchen at his school and my daughter would like to make the meals
wife and i just look at them and think, "they're so much more ambitious than we were"
@JackDouglas yes. it's frustratingly accurate

@swasheck you've made them that way!

it's hard to admit that, but i suppose you're right

I'm getting nervous about ours growing up
it's a really short step between 10 and being an adult
and maybe leaving home...

yes. 0-6 months felt like it'd take forever. since then it's been a blur

4:51 PM
we're old men now
all men are like grass...

i've been one for a while. just celebrated the passage of time once again. made me feel quite old

I won't ask ;)

ahhh james (peter, too)
@JackDouglas 37

@JackDouglas haha, yeah
but it's made infinitely better because I turned the attempt at promotion in to a PR embarasment
I don't mind spam when I can make it make them look bad

Are you old too @AJ? Seth and I are both nearly 40 and ready for the scrap-heap
Isn't that right @swasheck
@swasheck also Psalm 103 and Isaiah - not sure which they are quoting...

4:58 PM
i've got plenty of gas in the tank. my days are unknown, but my energy is there

@JackDouglas heh. i was just reflecting on how, the last time we spoke, you were enjoying a study of james

@swasheck glad to hear that!
It's a fascinating letter
not quite as impenetrable to me as anything by John
but still hard work

indeed. how's the language study going?

you mean my informal and lackadaisical attempt to learn Koine? Very well thanks!
I usually try and follow the sermon while looking at the Greek text
I'm starting to recognize more and more words and sometimes have half an idea what cases are used
verbs are basically still a mystery however
not sure how far immersion will get me absent any formal study...
are you actively studying Greek and/or Hebrew at the moment?

5:08 PM
hahahahah. what are you using to learn?
@JackDouglas not recently.

@swasheck just the 'NA27' text on my phone app

@swasheck ah yes, I've had that link recommended before, perhaps by Dan

yes. a worthwhile endeavour, if you want to get into language study

I do but I think my life doesn't want me to :(

5:26 PM
fair enough

A: What is the "evil" Paul keeps doing in Romans 7:19?

Michael SandersI believe that in the first part of the sentence, where Paul states, "For what I do is not the good I want to do;" means that the good Paul does, is doing the Will of God, not the "good" which "I" want to do. "I" is incapable of doing good, because only God is good. In the second half, Paul stat...
