@Zoe "Communion of the saints" goes beyond the 'sacrament' or ordinance of communion to basically state that all saints from all ages share the mystical "vision of God" and are in communion with Him-indeed they are part of Christ's "Mystical Body". The term comes from the Apostles Creed, not the Nicene or Nicene Constantinople, so it is not universally accepted; although the Reformers did not do away with it entirely. The Catholic Church uses this to justify "intercession of the saints".
