I need to cut an arc which has three colors say Red, Green and Blue one after the other.
This is for a circular game paddle.
I am using a differentiate on a square and a cricle, then rotating the entire thing and delete the longer arc-path and then change the color of the smaller-arc.
Is there...
I made something like this:
I did this with the eclipse tool and the line tool. Now the circle is accurate, but the lines inside are very inaccurate. Is there another tool that does the same thing but a lot more accurate? Thanks
@Wally could you just do one arc and duplicate it/rotate it
to make them even
just did a test....
create one circle....use guides to mark it's centre point
duplicate the circle and apply whatever stroke colour you need for the arc. holding shift you can click one of the nodes of this circle to reduce the stroke to the arc length you want. then you clone it, and rotate it around the centrepoint you marked earlier from the first circle, using duplicates of the arc layer xD
clear as mud?
nobody touch that question! >:( im writing an answer
haha not yet! though I wouldnt mind some new friends coming over. The recession forced so many to emigrate it would be nice to see some people flocking here!
especially when you consider who voted for what. basically it was older people that voted out, while all the youth voted in. those who voted out wont have to live with the consequences
ah i knew it was low but that is pretty bad.... they didnt know what they were voting on either which is silly....iei. google's search for "what is the EU" trending
@Vincent other than realizing the shirt I threw on has a big stain on it I'm good lol
@PieBie oh cool didn't know you were going to as well. I've used the Mac version but very briefly when it was in Beta. I don't use Illustrator as much at home though
Once I get the new monitor I might start using Affinity Photo more. The interface is a bit challenging on my 13" and Wacom is just mediocre so far on it
I do like that adjustments can be applied to R, G, B or Alpha where in Photoshop there's no Alpha and that would have to be manually done using channels for masks
@johnp No worries. It's not that important. The question was showing up in the hot network questions (I spotted it from WPSE) so thought I'd make it a bit prettier lol
I think Processing now has a Python port instead of using Java and of course Processing.js and P5.js both exist as well as all sorts of other JS based on it
Flash is terrific, its people not using Flash for its originally intended purpose and then Adobe having to decide if it wants to try to compete with openframeworks or follow its user base which was using flash to make websites
This was one of my favorite sites back when I taught myself Flash some I don't know --- 15 years ago. I'm happy they still have it up even if they never create anything new: levitated.net
I'm considering giving a talk about designing for hackability (meaning repurposing things for new purposes). I have examples of this in terms of hardware and software, but do you guys have any thoughts as to what this could mean in terms of visual design?
And for the Europeans so they don't miss the question later on @joojaa @Vincent, but it's an open question to the group
Ah yes for thet you would need the programs themseves be more open and extensible. Inkscape does not fit the bill very well as its very hard to hack and extend for example
