When upgrading kernels in Xen DomU, does it matter the order that the updates are installed? Guest vs Host?

@Run5k "But I am quite certain that the same message could be conveyed in a more positive, supporting manner. The copious down-votes & tough comment narratives could potentially discourage new and talented Super User community members from contributing even more in the future.". I have switched to a more silent mode when I cast downvotes unless I feel the contribution has a chance to be improved.
I was forced to do this honestly because I can't seem to find a way in a positive way say something can't be improved. So I take issue to, doing that, then say it's not I still issue downvotes to signal to the community there might be a problem. I still try to adapt though

By Shor, why is Kingston charging $1625 for a 2 TB flash drive?
The Samsung Portable SSD T3 costs $800 for the same capacity.

Ok, silly question.

(via Wccftech)

I've been tearing through the reviews when bored, but as a mod, I get unlimited reviews. How many reviews does say, a 10Ker get?

20, or 40 if the queue is ultra full
Same as <10K users

ah
ok
I'll try to stick to that, roughly ;p

11:35 PM
How on earth did @Run5k calculate in have a 5 to 1 downvote upvotes ratio?
cause 6231 and 13721 isn't a 5 to 1 ratio.
I am Calling shignangens on his math!

@Ramhound he says its from the user pages
but buuuuuut, that would not include downvoted posts that have been deleted

Hang on, I think it might
Let me check
The numbers in the vote breakdown on user pages do seem to include deleted posts

My numbers do though which I think is important

Does SEDE include votes on deleted posts?

He didn't use SEDE he used each user's page
From my understanding

11:40 PM
yup
Do they?
ugh. I hate stats ;p

Does what include what?

> The numbers in the vote breakdown on user pages do seem to include deleted posts

@JourneymanGeek Don't be mean :P

they didn't when I tested

Oh wait, maybe it's because I checked for my own account

11:42 PM
But your visiting users pages, as myself, I see all votes

@Rahul2001 dang it jim, I'm a terrier not a mathematician.

But he also didn't get a big enough sample size cause in the last 90 days I have voted without leaving a comment more often then the previous 90 days to it.

If you look in the downvotes section of your votes tab, you should see fewer downvotes than are reported in the Votes Cast section of your summary

Oh, he took the top users for 30 days, and overall votes
which makes sense

Per this MSE votes on deleted posts are included in the Votes Cast section

11:44 PM
Someone like John T for example
who, I don't ever recall seeing on the site, yet is in the top 5 ;p

@BenN But are those votes displayed for visitors of the profile or just the owner?

Visitors, or else that MSE poster woudn't have been confused

Well would be worth it to me to see my numbers he thinks I have
cause I can't calculate a 5 to 1 ratio for me

I see 6555 up to 31865 down on your profile
That's a shade less dramatic than a 5:1 ratio, but it's close

11:49 PM
Ah, that tab doesn't show votes on deleted posts
I'm looking in the Votes Cast section at the bottom right of your summary tab
This is all very confusing, heh

So which one is accurate :-) from a statistical poitnt of view

I'd say the one that includes all votes (even deleted posts) is the more interesting figure

if 31,000 downvote but only 13,721 were not removed that's greater than a 2:1 ratio
of votes that were cast on contributions that eventually got removed

And that's why I asked about his methodology

I sure can't find the 31,000 number except for the total votes casted being 34,0000
but that includes closer votes and delete votes

11:54 PM
That's in the bottom right of Activity → summary

So: superuser.com/users/83283/ramhound?tab=votes only shows 23k that's with 6k upvotes and 3k closure votes

Right, the votes tab doesn't show up/downvotes on deleted posts
Weirdly, it does seem to show closure and deletion votes on deleted posts

Alright no see it. Now

@MichaelFrank that's because someone stole the email server!
