I want to start learning French language

but I have heard that this is very very hard language to be learnt

Is this true?

I really like to learn French, but I am afraid of its difficulty...

@EnthusiasticStudent Learning a new language is never an easy task. French and English actually have a pretty large vocabulary in common, so that sometimes helps people. Yes, French is a language that has a lot of rules and exceptions to those rules, and maybe more grammatically complex than English (I guess?).

You'll have to put some significant effort into learning it, but you'd have to do that with any language you want to learn.

But I'm a native French speaker, so maybe you should take what I say with a grain of salt. Maybe @Aerovistae would have more insight.

@Kareen I am not a native English speaker but I have spent lots of time for learning it and now I can say that I am an advanced English speaker.

Studying a second language was a must for me, because I really needed English for my studies, job, etc.

I searched about different languages and now I really want to learn French.

However, I am a little afraid of its difficulty, were to start for learning it, how much time during a day should I spend for learning it...
