@TobiasFünke : When SuperCiocia stepped down as a mod a year ago, the 5 remaining mods pondered for a while whether we needed a new mod, but decided that we could carry the workload with 5 for now. Are you (or somebody else) interested in becoming a mod?

@naturallyInconsistent Hi.

@GroveRover : Noted. Please be aware that there are also other priorities, such as, e.g. keeping the comment section tidy.

@PM2Ring : One can spot the mandolinist Chris Thile from a mile away :)

@Slereah Hey.

@RyderRude : Hi, not so much.

@Mr.Feynman Good, thank you. What's up?
Sep 10, 2024 17:31
@Claudio : In eq. (7) it is the Laplacian. Now int. by parts.

@Davyz2 Hi. I won't unilaterally reopen your post since it was closed as unclear by 2 more users, but if you edit it, it will automatically enter the reopen queue for 2nd opinions.

@PM2Ring : That graph is a masterclass in data visualization.

@JohnRennie and naturallyInconsistent: It should probably be stressed that OP did not explicitly assume spherical symmetry, so Newton's shell theorem and Birkhoff's theorem do not apply.
May 1, 2024 06:54
@JohnRennie : Thanks for the clean up.

@SillyGoose I guess this png is related to your Phys.SE question. Out of curiosity, which ref. is the png from?
Mar 15, 2024 11:22
@SirCrackpot : Not at all.
Mar 15, 2024 10:20
@SirCrackpot : Sorry, I'm reading the references that you added, and I'm just taking some notes for myself concerning a possible update.
Feb 21, 2024 07:16
@SirCrackpot : I also got it from Goldstein.

@ACuriousMind Not to forget JB gravity and BBZ black holes :)

@naturallyInconsistent : I would not like to single-handedly reopen a question closed by the community.

One may argue that it is a bit heavy-handed to close this post as homework. Cutkosky cutting rules are an interesting topic that deserves more exposure on Phys.SE. Consider to vote to reopen it.

@Mr.Feynman : Unfortunately, no.

@LalitTolani : Done.
Oct 27, 2023 06:27
@SillyGoose : From a broader perspective, yes, but I'm not studying mirror symmetry per se.

@ClaudioMenchinelli : Not rude at all. You should be able to edit your own post by clicking an edit button below it.

@Mr.Feynman : No, it is just a matter of prioritizing my time.

Hi ingotangjingle. Welcome to Phys.SE. To reopen this post (v4) consider to specify whether you are talking about number of spacetime dimensions or number of dimensions of physical quantities. The post seems to talk about both. Consider to remove one of them to focus the question.
