@MikeEarnest I saw that you closed and later reopened that post. Is there a problem with the duplicate target you chose? Do you still request to close it as duplicate with that duplicate target?

@user The integral test definitely answers that question, and should be posted as an answer there IMO.

If you think of that as a wikipedia page, then it makes no sense that we need two different pages for that.

@SineoftheTime Yes, the edit differs from the OP's intention. However, this is an old post and had since attracted lots of attention and answers, and I don't think a post that refused several methods do any good, in terms of exposition of knowledge. All methods should be put in the same places, and future users should be directed to one post where all the methods are present.

@JyrkiLahtonen Indeed, let me do several edits.

I suggest that we should add the proof using Cauchy condensation and integral test into this FAQ question (and edit the question, of course).

A flood of proofs of open conjectures is the worst thing that can happen to a math-related sites.

 Tagging

When should a tag be added
Jan 7 05:01
Concerning the new tag quasiisomorphism, my thought is to remove them as it is too generic (it is not as generic as "isomorphism", but still). To say the least, there is the notion of quasiisomorphism in homological algebra which is quite different from what is suggested in the tag info.
Nov 21, 2024 08:17
For this particular question, it is related only to one aspect (in Riemannian geometry), so I add just that tag.
Nov 21, 2024 08:15
One problem with this tag is that the subject lies in the intersection of algebraic geometry, riemannian geometry, symplectic geometry and mathematical physics, and we already have tags for all that. I am not sure if we have more tag space for calabi yau, especially for Qs which really lies in the intersection.

@MartinSleziak I removed the tag for now. I am not sure if this tag is needed.

@RobertFrost If you think CURED members, whatever it means, enforces their will to the site, then you are using it wrong. You don't need to care about how the active CURED users think. Just monitor the room and vote/counter vote when you see fit.
