I think it's a nice question, and provided insight into steam's mindset.
Dec 28, 2011 22:47
So if the question was "What are the dates the Steam Winter Sale has been on?" it might prove useful for extrapolation in the future?
Dec 28, 2011 22:43
That's like closing a question "When does Easter occur?" on a holidays SE. It's a legitimate question?
Dec 28, 2011 22:42
too localized in space? Time? Interest?
Dec 28, 2011 22:42
@OrigamiRobot How is it too localized?
Dec 28, 2011 22:36
And even Mana's could be considered part of the thread.
Dec 28, 2011 22:35
@Oak I was just about to say that.
Dec 28, 2011 22:12
My question is the comment I posted at meta.gaming.stackexchange.com/a/3601/126
Dec 28, 2011 21:50
thanks @FallenAngelEyes
Dec 28, 2011 21:50
Pinging him is a good idea though ;)
Dec 28, 2011 21:49
But he's not online?
Dec 28, 2011 21:49
Who online would know the most about the bounty giveaway?

:148071 1a2a3a4a5a6a7a8a9a0a is warmup for attacking, and there is typically a click after each "a"
Sep 1, 2010 22:10
Then we'd just need wireless power built in.
Sep 1, 2010 22:10
:147602 But it might be built into TVs soon.
Sep 1, 2010 22:01
But you can watch a movie on your iPad, then send it to your apple TV!
Sep 1, 2010 22:00
:147557 Now that is a reason to get an iPad :D
Sep 1, 2010 21:59
Typical board size? several feet in diameter.
Sep 1, 2010 21:58
pass and play discourages the discussion, which is half the point of carcassonne. Social interaction.
Sep 1, 2010 21:57
Carcassonne is better in real life (same with scrabble)
Sep 1, 2010 21:53
an iPad is more convenient, sure, but is it worth the cost? And the "crap, I can't play StarCraft II on this thing" factor?
Sep 1, 2010 21:53
:147486 Yeah, I see this. I do have a laptop floating around the house for similar purposes.
Sep 1, 2010 21:51
I'm away from home, or I'm at dinner and a question came up.
Sep 1, 2010 21:51
Because I'm out.
Sep 1, 2010 21:51
(and why am I not working playing StarCraft II?)
Sep 1, 2010 21:51
But if I'm doing those things, why am I not sitting at a computer?
Sep 1, 2010 21:50
okay.
Sep 1, 2010 21:50
:147463 Help me understand without having one?
Sep 1, 2010 21:50
Oh.
Sep 1, 2010 21:49
Is it smaller than my phone?
Sep 1, 2010 21:49
My phone does that.
Sep 1, 2010 21:49
It lets me surf the internet?
Sep 1, 2010 21:49
Oh, it doesn't?
Sep 1, 2010 21:49
Does it play StarCraft?
Sep 1, 2010 21:49
See, I want a reason to buy an iPad, but I don't really see it filling a need for me, especially without a keyboard.
Sep 1, 2010 21:43
:147420 Well said.
Sep 1, 2010 21:42
In any case, the PS3 and the 360 do the same job as the Apple TV, but they're a lot more expensive, and may not be compelling to them.
Sep 1, 2010 21:41
the 360, the PS3, and the Apple TV all have a rental online streaming system.
Sep 1, 2010 21:40
the PS3 watches random internet videos through it's crappy browser.
Sep 1, 2010 21:40
I left off #3 for the 360 and PS3, because it's probably about the same.
Sep 1, 2010 21:38
the Boxee application requires a separate computer? I'm not sure I understand Boxee well enough.
Sep 1, 2010 21:38
The Boxee Box is more expensive
Sep 1, 2010 21:37
Roku is the same price but doesn't do #2 as well.
Sep 1, 2010 21:37
XBox 360 and PS3 do 1 and 2 well, but more expensive
Sep 1, 2010 21:37
The guys who seem interested in AppleTV like the 1) Netflix Streaming, 2) Streaming from a computer 2) Streaming from the internet.
Sep 1, 2010 21:31
Does Boxee support netflix? non-xbox Media Center Extenders?
Sep 1, 2010 21:28
but has a lot of PCs and Macs at home.
Sep 1, 2010 21:28
No? We're a win development shop, heavy windows development stuff. One of them in particular is a mac fan too,
Sep 1, 2010 21:27
Because they don't have such solutions
