@ypercubeᵀᴹ thank you :)
Mar 8, 2016 15:41
@ypercubeᵀᴹ I eliminate both quantities by multiplying and dividing with the corresponding letters but maybe that's the problem?
Mar 8, 2016 15:39
i say the first , no? :P
Mar 8, 2016 15:39
@ypercubeᵀᴹ Which is tha same as quantity A but with a "-" sign in front
Mar 8, 2016 15:39
@ypercubeᵀᴹ I figured that in the second quantity (w+z) / (z-w) --> (w+z) / (-1) (w-z)
Mar 8, 2016 15:33
imgur.com/KSGzerX <-- Any thoughts? Aren't the two quantities the opposite of the other ***
Mar 8, 2016 15:15
Can someone reason with me? I have this question: imgur.com/KSGzerX and if we simplify both sides i find that Quantity A = 1 and Quantity B = -1 which makes Quantity A greater than quantity B, am I right though? Cause they say that it can't be determined.

thus making it possible to be >90 OR <90 but with one solution per case (my head hurts :P )
Mar 7, 2016 22:58
@Hippalectryon Line RQ, if we "play" with it, forms a circle. So if we want the radius NOT to be perpendicular to the line then the line (PQ) must be crossing exactly two points and no more.
Mar 7, 2016 22:56
@Hippalectryon I thought of something but I'm not sure if it's right:
Mar 7, 2016 22:55
@Hippalectryon I cringed a little when I saw that it wasn't exactly 30 degrees xD
Mar 7, 2016 22:41
@Hippalectryon if we fiddle with RQ line, wouldn't it change length? I can't base the answer on a theorem
Mar 7, 2016 22:25
gre.kaomanfen.com/question/635 : can someone explain why they say that they answer is D (The relationship cannot be determined from the information given.). They say that Q could be >90 OR <90 but doesn;t messing with that angle mess with the constraint that RPQ angle is 30 degrees\?

I saw an excercise that calculates the simple annual interest BUT for half a year, isn't half a year considered something that will NOT add interest to the investment?

There are 27 students on the collage debate team. What is the probability that at least 3 of them have their birthdays in the same month? I saw the answer that states that we can solve this if we divide them in to 12 months, but can it be solved by thinking 1-P(at most 2 students)
Feb 18, 2016 10:58
You know, having three numbers in one bag and the same numbers in the other, but hey, this is probabilities it doesn't work that way :D
Feb 18, 2016 10:57
But isn't the result the same? Maybe I'm projecting them as sets and that's why I get confused...
Feb 18, 2016 10:49
@TobiasKildetoft but 5,6,6 and 6,5,6 (for example) can be seen as the same throw but the dices are differently arranged, why should they count as two different outcomes?
Feb 18, 2016 10:46
can someone explain why in probabilities when we throw three dices, the results {5,6,6}, {6,5,6} and {6,6,5} are different BUT {6,6,6} is the same and counts one time?

@egreg Goodnight, thank you for the tips!
Nov 18, 2015 00:47
@egreg The weird thing is that the 2 previous won't compile and can't kill the process (probably get stuck in pygments) but when I compile form the third machine then the two previous ones can compile it (I think this is due to the fact that minted has already created something like directives?)
Nov 18, 2015 00:45
@egreg I tried 3 different Windoze machines to get python working in one properly with minted and still I'm not sure it's fully functional
Nov 18, 2015 00:44
@egreg You've been helpful enough, I'm just waiting for update to finish to check but I think you nailed the problem
Nov 18, 2015 00:39
guess*
Nov 18, 2015 00:38
i huees no sudo
Nov 18, 2015 00:38
oh
Nov 18, 2015 00:38
windows :P
Nov 18, 2015 00:37
what in the?
Nov 18, 2015 00:37
@egreg skipping forcibly removed package dvips
Nov 18, 2015 00:37
@egreg I pressed alt+tab to check the window and I got unexpected stdin error and it crashed xD yay!!
Nov 18, 2015 00:36
@egreg Texlive, gui crashed, I just updated from command the tlmgr and now I run update all
Nov 18, 2015 00:35
ouch
Nov 18, 2015 00:35
@egreg Package: minted 2015/01/31 v2.0 Yet another Pygments shim for LaTeX

Q: Can't enable breakanywhere option

user2692669I'm trying to activate breakanywhere option (tried with both breaklines enabled/disabled) but I get this message: ! Package xkeyval Error: `breakanywhere' undefined in families `minted@opt@cmd' While running: \inputminted[breaklines, breakanywhere,linenos]{tcl}{src/main.tcl} Is there a fix...

@ChristianHupfer Nooo don't make me google that, demon, I have work to dooooooo. :P
Nov 17, 2015 19:11
@ChristianHupfer From what I've heard that's how something got destroyed.
Nov 17, 2015 19:11
@ChristianHupfer Don't tell anyone but I'd suggest sitting far from the air vents.
Nov 17, 2015 19:09
@ChristianHupfer The Dark One watches movies outside of his job description,too :P
Nov 17, 2015 19:06
@Johannes_B You are right, there isn't enough time for this luxury... I should place a big warning sign that says: "Your PDF reader supports a GO BACK function"
Nov 17, 2015 19:03
@Johannes_B Many people don't know that it even exists
Nov 17, 2015 19:00
\label{return_from_dest}
\hyperref[go_to_dest]{go_to_dest_text}

...(chapters go by)

\label{go_to_dest}
\hyperref[return_from_dest]{Go_back}
Nov 17, 2015 19:00
@Johannes_B Wouldn't something like this make sense? :
Nov 17, 2015 18:56
@Johannes_B Inefficient but trustworthy :/
Nov 17, 2015 18:55
@Johannes_B Sorry, now I understand, unless we have a 1:1 relationship, we can't know who called with more than one caller with the same name. So I guess I should use "go_back_1" "go_back_2" "go_back_3" labels to hypperef back
Nov 17, 2015 18:52
@PauloCereda hmm i see\
Nov 17, 2015 18:50
@PauloCereda let me google anchors to see what you mean :P
Nov 17, 2015 18:50
@Johannes_B But, using a label to go back should work, but it seems soooo counter productive, isn't there something equal to balance the hypperref and the label to act like a "seesaw"?
Nov 17, 2015 18:48
oh
Nov 17, 2015 18:48
@PauloCereda But I thought if I use a label like "reference_back" and link to it,it should work.
Nov 17, 2015 18:47
@PauloCereda Well... this is my problem, I search for referencing inside my document and it's all ok. But (there is always a but), I searched about linking back to the hyperref but they say that it's program dependent.
