Are you sure they aren’t robot or clone slaves?

Jul 30, 2022 05:30
@lid Yes. Technically, there's no way for manufacturers to truly lock bootloaders. So, this lock can be broken. That's it. Now, don't ask details as it is very complex computer science topic.
Jul 30, 2022 05:30
@lid Hold on a second.. Was your previous question related with the discussion? Look.. I am saying, you don't need to gain root at all. Why are you trying to find exploit for rooting?
Jul 30, 2022 05:30
@lid That's the official way. There's always hackers way...
Jul 30, 2022 05:30
@Izzy Custom recovery accesses NAND directly. Its not a linux distro, so there's NO concept of rooting involves with it. It works independently from Android. So, you can do NANDroid backup without having root access in Android.
Jul 30, 2022 05:30
@Izzy 1. Locked bootloaders don't always block ROM flashing. 2. Technically, Bootloaders can be unlocked without gaining root access. So, my answer is valid for all devices out there.
Jul 30, 2022 05:30
@RyanConrad I agree. :) At least, my answer will clear misconceptions..

@Sopalajo With root access, you can play God. With access to internal storage, you can extract the plain password the way KeyChain does (remember, KeyChain also needs to make plain password available to the app) unless the device features special hardware encryption. Even with the hardware encryption, the running KeyChain's process can be hacked from the RAM (the encryption key always come inside the RAM; also check Cold Boot attack to get an idea).

@asudhak Auth Tokens are stored in authtoken field of authtokens table inside accounts.db database.
Jul 28, 2022 20:40
@asudhak This summation is correct for official Gmail app (or say, overall Google Services) only. Other email apps store passwords (not auth tokens) in plain text.
Jul 28, 2022 20:40
@LieRyan Yes, False Sense of Security isn't good. In current situation, we'd atleast quickly change our passwords after losing device.
Jul 28, 2022 20:40
@J.F.Sebastian Keychain services of iOS aren't secure at all. See sit.sit.fraunhofer.de/studies/en/sc-iphone-passwords-faq.pdf and, I am unable to find any similar implementation for Android.
Jul 28, 2022 20:40
@J.F.Sebastian I agree, but nobody would like to enter a password everytime email client needs authentication. And, AFAIK, there's no email app which supports this. Plus, OP is asking how password is stored locally, so I could assume he is talking about most common way i.e. give password to email app to store.

@MissouriSpartan It's a dedication to a lifestyle. ~> That's the real problem. Case in point: I doubt any of those children were there against their will. ~> You can't say that for someone with no age of consent.
Sep 5, 2019 13:52
@MissouriSpartan those weren't TRUE lightsabers. They were training-level sabers. ~> I believe they were real. I remember an episode from Clone Wars cartoon in which younglings were given task to find crystals for lightsaber and they even build real lightsaber in the end. If you have proper canon citation proving they weren't real lightsabers, answer this: scifi.stackexchange.com/questions/218512/…
Sep 5, 2019 13:52
@MissouriSpartan You aren't getting my point. It's not about effectiveness. It's about choice. A human body is a great weapon if utilized correctly, but lots of people won't want to get martial art or ninja trainings. Also, Jedi training comes in full package and that's the problem. They won't teach you individual courses. If I want to learn basic lightsaber skill or simply mind trick, why should I not fall in love? This is ridiculous.
Sep 5, 2019 13:52
@MissouriSpartan If you are born force-sensitive, you aren't limited to be either Jedi or Sith. You can choose to be neither and try to use the Force your own way (this isn't binary that if you go for emotional attachment, you end up killing people). But, if your right to choose is taken away, it's injustice.
Sep 5, 2019 13:52
@Shreedhar From The Galactic Republic's perspective, Sith weren't "theirs".. The Jedi weren't the government.
Sep 5, 2019 13:52
@tbrookside The Galactic Republic is a civilized and evolved society where normal toys are normal toys. Even in the outer rims, children used to play with harmless robots (we've canon evidence for that).
Sep 5, 2019 13:52
@Lorendiac I gave you an example. Jedi project the Sith as bad guys without giving any logic. You can't absolutely declare a group bad. If this is not brainwashing, what is? Windu was so brainwashed that he tried to assassinate an elected head of state without trial just because he was a Sith. Jedi call themselves peacekeepers and yet they are the first to attack. See the original battle between Obi-Wan and Vader and you'll see that Vader was only defending.
Sep 5, 2019 13:52
@Lorendiac The line is obvious. Normal children play with toys, not weapons.

Aug 8, 2019 13:55
@PatrickWynne Obviously, their children would exist in alternate timeline as you can't change the past.
Aug 8, 2019 13:55
@PatrickWynne No, it isn't. Because when young Captain America met old Peggy Carter, she didn't seem surprised by seeing her husband young again and she even explicitly said that she didn't get to enjoy life with him.
Aug 8, 2019 13:55
@PatrickWynne Captain America had time travel device which he could use to jump across timelines.
Aug 8, 2019 13:55
@PatrickWynne Nothing to change? What happens to the original husband and their children if there's no new timeline?
Aug 8, 2019 13:55
@TheLethalCarrot Without different timeline, immutable past concept is meaningless.
Aug 8, 2019 13:55
Christopher Markus's logic is flawed and would create paradoxes. Directors' statement is correct.
Aug 8, 2019 13:55
You can't travel back to the same timeline. You're misinterpreting the quotes. Being two caps doesn't make it the same timeline. Remember, there were two caps and hulks in 2012 (which was different timeline).

@Aegon But, GoT always surprise us. You can never know. It's not game of morality. It's game of thrones. Cruel and mad people have always ruled. She has got power and that's what matters.
