@ThomasMarkov I've been remote a long time, and it has its ups and downs. I miss talking to coworkers around the coffee machine and whatnot
Mar 9, 2023 01:31
@ThomasMarkov Congratulations!
Feb 9, 2023 15:16
@ThomasMarkov they already have too many side quests...
Feb 9, 2023 15:08
Worth a question, or too subjective?
Feb 9, 2023 15:07
Yeah, it was only on the order of 100gp, I am debating whether to help them out and give them retcon that much. They have some money from a more recent adventure, so the current state isn't game breaking.
Feb 9, 2023 14:36
My players lost their notes on their loot, at least what was in the party kitty. I can't remember this ever happening before
Jan 28, 2023 19:35
I edited a highly visible post, and close voted something yesterday. This feels dangerously familiar.
Jan 23, 2023 02:41
@BESW Yes, one of the things I think 4e did well
Jan 23, 2023 02:36
@JamesRisner And IMO it gives the game a more natural flow. In fiction and battle accounts I've heard few people fight from dawn to dusk without a break. I like the natural little pauses for dialog and RP it gives.
Jan 23, 2023 02:34
@BESW Thanks, I've forgotten how to do everything :-D
Jan 22, 2023 22:46
Let me know if this is noisy, or if there's a better room for me to roll in.

@AncientSwordRage They definitely overloaded the term, but I really like the natural/rest healing mechanic.
Jan 12, 2023 00:28
Apparently it's been too long. lol
Jan 12, 2023 00:19
Did they remove that feature?
Jan 12, 2023 00:19
/roll 1d20
Jan 12, 2023 00:17
Yes. Reading feature requests and starting discussions about them seems far too much like work as well.
Jan 12, 2023 00:14
Or spending an hour filing a feature request for World Anvil and connecting to Discord when I meant to be writing.
Jan 12, 2023 00:13
@Ben Good, good. Writing.
Jan 7, 2023 23:29
There is a hard limit to the things you can DM at once for sure.
Jan 7, 2023 23:29
It is a very different system.
Jan 7, 2023 16:18
@Axoren I strongly recommend Fate, but it is a VERY different, much lighter game than D&D.
Dec 30, 2022 22:01
Pretty well, currently running a homebrew campaign of mine, been at it for six months. Currently working up a new dungeon. Mapmaking is so time consuming.
Dec 30, 2022 12:15
@AncientSwordRage Thanks, my wife is a real anglophile so I hear a lot of it
Dec 30, 2022 12:12
@AncientSwordRage I mean ... work, church, three kids, and a weekly D&D game?
Dec 29, 2022 23:59
@AncientSwordRage Hey, going well, you?
Dec 29, 2022 23:21
@Zachiel ... congratulations I think?
Dec 28, 2022 14:59
@Someone_Evil Thanks
Dec 28, 2022 14:37
Is this Meta answer still policy? I'm considering asking about World Anvil
Dec 28, 2022 14:36
A few moments later ...
Oct 28, 2019 01:48
@BlackSpike Hey! That hits close to the paycheck!
Oct 28, 2019 01:38
@Shalvenay Or a live website ...
Oct 28, 2019 01:24
@nitsua60 I was just looking at the Kingdoms and Warfare Kickstarter, do you have any experience with Strongholds and Followers? It seems relevant to my interests.
Oct 28, 2019 01:17
@BlackSpike sounds like a fun game :-)
Oct 28, 2019 01:16
I had a DM that always ran Dread for Halloween games. Who would have thought a Jenga tower could create such dramatic tension?
Oct 28, 2019 01:15
@BlackSpike How did it play out with the other 6 players at the table?
Oct 28, 2019 00:55
A one shot I hope?
Oct 28, 2019 00:51
@BlackSpike Chaos ensues?
Aug 27, 2019 01:57
Night y'all
Aug 27, 2019 01:56
@MikeQ yes. I totally agree if a warlock's power's are on the line ... that would be rough.
Aug 27, 2019 01:54
The players agreed to the hook before we started.
Aug 27, 2019 01:53
The campaign hook was that the party was summoned to court for minor crimes they did or didn't commit, where they were sentenced to be the constabulary of a border town, and the bossy patron is basically their parole officer. She gives them great leash, but demands reports on their activities.
Aug 27, 2019 01:49
@MikeQ :-D
Aug 27, 2019 01:48
@MikeQ Sorry, in this case it's not a warlock's patron, was using it as a general term.
Aug 27, 2019 01:46
Sadly the more common failing I've seen is that one person assents to the social contract, but then flies in the face of it, claiming (honestly or not) that they thought they were abiding by it
Aug 27, 2019 01:45
@trogdor It can. I run session 0's now.
Aug 27, 2019 01:44
The party also feels perfectly comfortable running off on adventures without consulting her, so I suspect it's not too overbearing :-)
Aug 27, 2019 01:43
@JoelHarmon In this case I have a patron who is their explicit taskmaster, and has sort of a bossy, over the top acerbic personality.
