An alternative that we have already seen in the real world is depriving another nation of water, by redirecting rivers or increasing use upstream. If that's too mundane, how about stealing their rain?

General discussion for sports.stackexchange.com

@MartinSleziak I concur. I wanted to communicate without cluttering up the answer with comments. It's fine the way it currently is, I'm just curious whether the policy changed. Thanks for your reply

I got a downvote without comment on this answer: sports.stackexchange.com/a/13892/1419 . Any idea how I could improve it? It is quite long, but I'm not sure what could be removed. Sorry, I am still unaware of the culture of sports.se - coming from stackoverflow, I'm used to way more comments and thus immediate feedback on the question.

One area apart from medicine or insurance where this could be a valid question is sports.

Ok, thanks for the details. @RoryAlsop, I added some details from our chat to the question, and renamed it in order to reduce confusion
Feb 5, 2013 18:46
@AviD No, I did understand. It's not my first question on SE.
Feb 5, 2013 18:32
@RoryAlsop In any case, then please close it as off-topic in order to not confuse anyone else.
Feb 5, 2013 18:30
@RoryAlsop Ok, it just wasn't obvious at all for me - I should have asked you guys earlier. And since when is answering your own question not explicitly called for?
Feb 5, 2013 18:29
Gilles: Sure, but that wasn't the intention of the library I'm looking at - it just wanted to allow arbitrary schemes, such as tel: and mailto: , but decided (foolishly) to declare all schemes with netlocs as safe

@Gilles The input comes from a user, and the web app is re-rendering it (but wants to allow only formatted text). Isn't that the generic XSS example?
Feb 5, 2013 18:24
Could you elaborate why it is crap?
Feb 5, 2013 18:23
@RoryAlsop Close first, ask later, eh? (Ok, I'm not particularly impartial on that)

 Root Access

For all you Super Users out there. You have backups, right?

@HackToHell Sorry, was otherwise occupied. Just for reference, what was the problem and how did you solve it?
Jan 26, 2012 12:48
@HackToHell Attach it to the VM. In the GUI, use Settings->Storage. On the CLI, use VBoxManage storageattach
