Why would visual novels be incompatible, it'll be games that use weird graphical quirks or the IR sensor which it looks like the new joycons don't have
I realised that if you work backwards from the end of the list instead it cuts the options way down, for example you can only have multiplied if you've got a multiple at the end, or have concatenated if the result ends in the last number of the list

@Wipqozn Previously they've had a separate deadline for newly released games, presumably because there's fewer of them they can work through the submissions faster

Yeah. The CDI games are not good. But the fact that Arzette has taken the aesthetic and gameplay and made it work in a way that feels super faithful even though it's obviously not
@Fredy31 A streamer I was watching was saying it's funny because it tricks you into thinking the CDI games might have actually been good and you should give them another chance
@SPArcheon They're not translating the trailer in isolation though, those are lines from the game. Just because that info isn't in the exact same line in the japanese version doesn't mean it's not in the game. For pacing reasons maybe it's 30 seconds earlier in the japanese script or something
I think that gets the development of the story the wrong way around, I don't think they were wanting to tell a generational divide story and decided to use a first/second generation asian immigrant family. But rather they want to tell a story about their experience growing up as a second generation asian immigrant. Which becomes a story about generational divides
