Right and while the site is predominantly built on these thanks to excellent backwards compatibility no problem there.

Other than the current hiccup we're trying to quell we really have no use for them. In no time Blender < 2.8 will be like 2.49.

Yeah but we're fast coming up on many outdated or replaced functionality, api change etc

Editing is just boring

I was just thinking what would be a good way to preserve a good working answer but let people know that its deprecated sans tags or explicit editing the answer.
