@HunterofWisdom How goes the Stardewing?
yst 00:30
Does Monaco's theme loop properly now? So weird that his fights devolve into silence if you take too long :D
Tue 21:33
Concluding thoughts: I enjoyed the archipelagation, but I would probably not pick those two games again w/o figuring out a better controller setup. I couldn't input e.g. hadoken / shine spark at all, which was quarrelsome.
Tue 21:29
I didn't follow from that specific patreon post, but it links to the same repo, so yeah, basically.
Tue 21:27
This was my last 40 minutes.
Tue 21:27
Tue 21:26
I mean, wasn't needed.
Tue 21:26
Yeah, you're good to ignore that, and Hunter can ignore the Friendship 101 book because Ice Beam is also no longer needed.
Tue 21:25
Given I just beat the game without it -- yeah, you're golden to ignore that :P
Tue 21:24
I bet that's diving scale.
Tue 21:24
...you know what. My brain totally flaked on what "Progressive Scale" could possibly be.
Tue 21:23
Ronan finally gets another song!
Tue 21:17
Ich spreche ein bißchen Deutsch. Alles ist klar.
Tue 21:08
My lawyer has cautioned against replying in the affirmative.
Tue 21:08
Yeah, and the other was me. 😅
Tue 20:58
If it makes you feel better -- you can't join midway through, but there'll be a next time, probably!
Tue 20:25
Oh, just now? Nice.
Tue 20:24
Murgatroid finished Hollow Knight
Tue 20:14
Thanks, @TobiasF.! I should be able to clear both games now
Tue 20:07
@HunterofWisdom Got you your progressive bow!
Tue 16:32
kisame...
Tue 16:17
@Ronan Ha! I checked. I have 15. 😂
Tue 16:16
Sharks mentioned.
Tue 13:58
Yeesh. Not having the ability to smelt sounds awful.
Tue 13:58
Spark Mandril stage complete. Which means the last maverick is another Minecraft Achievement, actually! (On a Rail)
Tue 13:41
If you wanted to go slow. But who wants that!
Tue 13:41
Seems reasonable, then.
Tue 13:34
At which point it's not required to reach Sigma's fortress. But don't know if it's still necessary to do so.
Tue 13:34
Interestingly, as I recall, I think the legs capsule was actually moved in some of the MMX remakes. Maverick Hunter X, I think?
Tue 13:32
Yup, and I'm saying that the nature of the randomizer already gives you options to fight bosses you *cannot* defeat.

So I would suspect the failsafe is entirely absent.
Tue 13:30
And there isn't a check for Zero's arm part, so I suspect it's either not implemented, or just gives the same as the arm capsule
Tue 13:29
So, like, for this multi-world -- unlocking the arms capsule unlocked enchanting for Tobias in Minecraft.
Tue 13:29
Heck, one of the randomizer options is to make the bosses invulnerable except to a single, random weapon (that you have no guarantee is unlocked yet)
Tue 13:28
Yes, I understand.

The problem is that getting the arm upgrade (capsule or otherwise) in MMX *doesn't* give you the arms upgrade in game.
Tue 13:25
Not sure. It might be patched to be a non-issue; the hadoken capsule was patched to show up when you reach it the first time, which threw me off, and Vile (in the intro stage) was patched to instantly shoot the fiht-ending stun balls (rather than having to get down to 2-3 bars of HP first)
Tue 13:23
It was, in fact.
Tue 13:23
I think that means I can get one of Murgatroid's missing noita perks shortly.
Tue 13:22
Excellent, thanks.
Tue 13:16
Ah, like I said -- not much experience 😅
Tue 13:14
@SPArcheon-onstrike I do not recognize this potion.
Tue 01:57
Actually, that's true of Super Metroid as well -- though the items guarded by bosses are.
Tue 01:57
Ahhh. Gotcha.
Tue 01:56
I guess I'm confused -- is that not the same as defeating the boss?
Tue 01:56
MMX had an option for standalone pickups, too, though I didn't turn it on.
Tue 01:54
What's boss geo?
Tue 01:54
Oh, yeah. Geo chests would do that.
Tue 01:02
Looks like one of the last Megaman X bosses is for sale in the Goron City shop
Tue 01:00
I'm surprised Hollow Knight has so many checks
Mon 20:58
Or, y'know. Listen to Wipqozn say the same thing in less words!
Mon 20:57
Nope! That's part of the secret sauce that lets it work in the first place -- each game h as a graph of "Item X requires Z", and then when the multi-world gets generated, it combines all the dependencies to output a completable run.
