How do you call the difference between the lowest and the highest value of a set ? My students results go from 1 to 100 % so 99 is the _____ ? It isn't the standard variation, right ? So what is it
Apr 15, 2016 13:33

Feb 19, 2016 20:13
@Karl I posted a question. However, it appears that my assumption was wrong.
Feb 19, 2016 19:09
Hi. It appears that the product of the differences between 3 consecutive integers in whatever order always equals 2. However, I can't find the pattern for 5 integers...

Looks like calling it amplitude will make me look less dumb
Nov 30, 2015 15:55
I'm using $y = sin (x/20*pi) * 500$ to simulate the number of bananas produced by a tree at the age x. It's okay but I'd like to produces maximum bananas for a couple years ("staying at the top of the sinus for a while") if that makes any sense....
Nov 30, 2015 15:55
Hi, I'm wondering, is there a way to smooth the sinus at the top of the curve ? Is there a way to extends its time at the top ?

@N3buchadnezzar have a nice day
Nov 25, 2015 16:29

Nov 25, 2015 16:28
Oh damn
Nov 25, 2015 16:27
@N3buchadnezzar but when I use 2x instead of x, what does it change ?
Nov 25, 2015 16:27
@N3buchadnezzar yeah I think I got it now you told me to use 2x not 2^sin
Nov 25, 2015 16:26
@N3buchadnezzar for some reason it didn't give me what I expected when I used 2^sin .....
Nov 25, 2015 16:25
wow wait a minute there's a guy that writes on banana in here, haha wtf
Nov 25, 2015 16:23
@N3buchadnezzar thanks for the help I kinda figured it once you told me that 3.14 was the next zero point
Nov 25, 2015 16:22
@N3buchadnezzar here's my final answer : y = sin (x/100*pi) * 500
Nov 25, 2015 16:22
@N3buchadnezzar hahaha yeah I just read on wiki that banana trees don't work like I'm using it, well whatever,
