hi, question about this statement. I don't think I understand what Giacomo means by this being a long comment and not an answer. Like, in principle, I am making the same claim as Ramhouse did in a comment, but I also provided reasoning+evidence for that claim, which provides a framework to analyze the question later on even if the specific evidence I gave goes out of date.
so, uh, what about this is a comment? is it that the claim remains an opinion? I would appreciate the understanding.

@JourneymanGeek looks like it! they have tags for dosbox and emulation. and there are questions like this one asking how to achieve some desired emulated hardware state, which is approximately what the question i linked is!

makes sense. is there any sort of convention for how old a question can be before migration stops making sense?
