@XanderHenderson -.-
Jul 11 15:48
@XanderHenderson That wouldn't be as sneaky. (Real answer is I have no idea).
Jul 11 15:17
@Med_Reda I am here, mostly in spirit- sometimes in earnest.
Jul 3 20:22
@wizzwizz4 With the power of copy and pasting transcript links my power to collect feedback is INFINITE!!
Jul 3 20:21
@wizzwizz4 I know we are still doing a lot to work on some of the funny business, but I will log this feedback.
Jul 3 20:17
@wizzwizz4 What is wrong?
Jun 10 18:40
@XanderHenderson I don't have a Cyrillic keyboard, but I totally know Russian. Believe me, droog. Spokoynoy nochi, Xander!
Jun 10 18:35
@XanderHenderson priviet tovarich
Jun 10 18:27
@Otaku that can't be comfortable. Have you tried hanging out on a chair? Much better user experience.
Jun 10 18:15
@Otaku :Looks around my office: You are nearby?
Jun 10 17:59
@wizzwizz4 I have to warn you :lowers sunglasses: I'm a slow reader.
Jun 10 17:58
@wizzwizz4 Its something I can bring up to the team. Maybe this is more of a chat counterpart to the "Expected Behavior" article in the help center?
Jun 10 17:54
This conversation is making my brain fold as a Trust & Safety professional.
Jun 10 17:51
@XanderHenderson This earned a sensible chuckle from me. If only we had a sensible chuckle emoji.
Jun 10 17:49
@wizzwizz4 That's a really solid list! I would personally plug read the CoC into number 3, but I may be biased as I helped write it.
Jun 10 17:42
@wizzwizz4 ohh yes, replies help with readability SO MUCH!
Jun 10 17:39
@wizzwizz4 That's fair. On one hand, I can see how that is a disconnect, but I also see a benefit to some less structured spaces. If you were showing a friend chat for the first time, what would be your quick introduction or caveats you would introduce to them first?
Jun 10 17:23
And if you are a newer user reading this, what kind of interactions would encourage you to keep coming back to chat?
Jun 10 17:23
Howdy y'all, popping in to ask the next question of the day. This one is inspired by the recent meta post by @EmmaBee . I'm curious as to what could be done for the new users who decide to stick around. Sometimes we have seen it can take people a while to get up to speed, What do you think we can do to better assist people integrating into our chatrooms and our chat culture?
Jun 10 17:08
@XanderHenderson quick mafs
Jun 5 17:58
@Spevacus Let me poke @Dalmarus about this. He is currently out, but once he is back, I will pester him on your behalf.
Jun 5 17:42
@wizzwizz4 huh, it is in three places. I will make sure to run this by the team to see what the plan is.
Jun 5 17:32
With that said, my question is:
What features or tools would you love to see in Stack chat? What and how could this chat help with what you’re trying to learn or do?
Jun 5 17:32
Outside of my regal duties I also wanted to pop in to discuss chat with everyone, much like @CodeBender did yesterday. I wanted to discuss features with the room.
Jun 5 17:29
Slip Sine 5 bucks
Jun 5 17:21
@Spevacus nuh uh. I was fairly elected- but the votes were private.

@Mithical These are good points. I will take responsibility for this one. I was not aware that a UI change would impact Charcoal. I will make sure this is a consideration for UI changes as well moving forward.

@ThomasWard I went to the smarter guy

That's like my partner with mosquitos, she valiantly takes all the bites and is allergic to them. I get bitten probably at 1/10 the rate, I live a charmed life.
Jun 12, 2024 15:17
I googled midges and gained a new fear. Some of those swarm attack photos look comically bad. I thought the isles would have less bugs!
Jun 11, 2024 18:38
@RoryAlsop looks like I have my itinerary set for my eventual Scotland trip! Thanks a bunch Rory. What time of year do you suggest?
