My parents took me to a psychologist when I was a kid because of some minor attention issues I had, and I found that the psychologist made some suggestions on the report to help me be less bored and stressed out, and my parents heeded literally none of the suggestions because my grades were good enough
We were planning on linking to StackOverflow in the Discord server's guidelines and on the Nushell website in case people had questions. We would also link to the SO guidelines and encourage people to follow those
Specifically, I'm asking for this tool called Nushell that I contribute to. There's already a [nushell] tag on SO with a few questions, but most people don't seem to know they can ask questions there
@lyxal and anyone else: do you guys know what the procedure is when you have a software tool and you want people to ask questions about it on Stack Overflow rather than in your tool's Discord server or GitHub issues?
There's another building at my university that has a floor with rooms labelled 0xxx and then another floor beneath with rooms labelled Bxxxx (never seen what the elevator calls them, but I assume G and B)
Occasionally, even experienced Wikipedians lose their heads and devote every waking moment to edit warring over the most trivial things, wasting time debating topics of no practical value, or wrestling over questions whose answers hold no practical consequence. This page documents our lamest examples. It isn't comprehensive or authoritative, but it serves as a showcase of situations where people lose sight of the big picture and obsessively expend huge amounts of energy fighting over something that, in the end, isn't really so important.
