did you check out the course I commented? If you want I can create sort of an online study group for it. I also have to do stuff in that course for a course I have starting in a week
Apr 19 06:02
@pie
Apr 16 12:32
I don't think there is much you can do
Apr 13 13:24
@pie that's hard. Maybe it could be an appropriate question for academia SE for what to do in that situation
Apr 13 13:20
but I highly recommend trying to find a way to study in a good place. Search of international masters program with stipend and what not, and try to adjust your study topics in such a way that you best satisfy the requirements of these programs.
Apr 13 13:17
after highschool I fooled myself into thinking that I knew most of what was there in analysis books already (boy was I so wrong)
Apr 13 13:17
I can also say something about self studying. When one self studies a book, it maybe tempting to skip the technicalities and just try to understand the idea but I think one only realize the depth of the matterwhen they deal with the technicalities
Apr 13 13:12
@pie where I think many of many classmate also they are in similar situation (like in sense of school finish -> direct to uni) . Life is not a straight line
Apr 13 13:11
I think if you can do even one pure math book properly, that is be able to understand each and every proof + do each and every exercise probably your understanding of math most beginning master student
Apr 13 13:10
and in Uni, I just destroyed almost every course I took and ended up finishing two semesters in one, and that was without disciplined studying in the semester
Apr 13 13:09
@pie bro I read Munkres, and mostly without doing anything properly eg doing exercises
Apr 13 11:16
@pie there are Stipendium offers for masters. I started my bachelor at 22 :)
Apr 13 11:15
I can give you a tip. In uni you don't do one topic very deep, they try to give you view of many topic
Apr 13 11:15
@pie rudin is not an easy book
Apr 13 11:14
@pie I mean you can choose a concrete goal maybe. Something more applied. Perhaps a project. Buy some analysis book and start working to it
Apr 13 06:39
I suppose it also depends where you study. I can suggest trying to get into a European uni in your next stage of studies
Apr 13 06:38
@pie have you tried reading a book on math? It's hard to progress unless you have a disciplined study
Apr 12 16:26
I think joining university helped me
Apr 12 16:24
@pie have you tried studying other fields?
Sep 28, 2024 08:24
I mean, don't want to be that guy, but none of these things are intuitive to me as what would be expected by people of the internet
Sep 21, 2024 15:19
@RyderRude what exactly do you want to do
Sep 21, 2024 15:18
algebraic geometry for under grads assuming minimal pre requisites
Sep 21, 2024 15:18
well my university professor has made the most insane course eve
Sep 21, 2024 15:17
category theory and PDE?
Sep 21, 2024 15:16
category theory + abstract algebra or category theory + topology
Sep 21, 2024 15:16
calculus on manifolds and real analysis?
Sep 21, 2024 15:16
physics and mathematics?
Sep 21, 2024 14:56
@ILikeMathematics dont they only have winter admissions
Sep 21, 2024 13:29
need to make it precise
Sep 21, 2024 13:29
ill think more tho
Sep 21, 2024 13:29
@BenSteffan drawing some open sets I notice that the intersection is not path connected when it unifies to the entire space
Sep 21, 2024 13:27
I mean it works when you involve all the sides in gluing , but not when just a pair?
Sep 21, 2024 13:27
could you elaborate why you think that
Sep 21, 2024 13:25
I am essentially trying to apply satz 9.17 from the script here:

Sep 21, 2024 13:25
@BenSteffan you've idea to how to finish ti with the method I started with in the post math.stackexchange.com/questions/4974113/…
Sep 21, 2024 13:24
are u a bonn undergrad @ILikeMathematics
Sep 1, 2024 19:39
id say it is a philosophy of math book
Sep 1, 2024 19:38
That book is much more than topoi
Sep 1, 2024 19:36
did you ever end up finishing it? Was it worth it? how long did it take?
Sep 1, 2024 19:36
I am perpetually getting through it but it often just feels so irrelevant the things in it for my entire bachelors studium. The book has some pretty deep insight on some matters, but it's hard to keep the motivation up
Sep 1, 2024 19:35
@BenSteffan I am working through this book but it takes forever

Oct 4, 2024 12:12
@Shaun I haven't do the turnstile thing
Oct 4, 2024 12:12
I see, this was probably the most on topic and relevant comment @MauroALLEGRANZA
Oct 4, 2024 12:12
Yes but this point I have not seen in any book mentioned explicitly @BenSteffan
Oct 4, 2024 12:12
Yes, but then really the statement should be $A \implies B <=> \text{tautology}$, right? Otherwise how else can you say that $A \implies B$ as a total must always be true?
Oct 4, 2024 12:12
What does contra positives have to do with this question? @NaïmFavier
Oct 4, 2024 12:12
Mistake @Lonaldin..
