@noodleperson Oh, this one! I listened to the ArrayCasts episode on it.
Jul 1, 2024 22:00
But yes, I agree.
Jul 1, 2024 22:00
@UnrelatedString Ruby seems enthusiast dominated as well.
Jul 1, 2024 08:03
But kinda cool though
Jul 1, 2024 08:03
That should be illegal, it's not just cat-ing man it's like starting a subprocess
Jul 1, 2024 08:02
@lyxal Oh wait, close! The other way around. That's more than I knew.

Jul 1, 2024 08:01
Like I've got Vim as my manpager, and that took me straight to Vim
Jul 1, 2024 08:00
That's the first and only time I've ever seen that in a lifetime of UNIX shell-ing
Jul 1, 2024 08:00
takes you to git diff's manpage
Jul 1, 2024 08:00
git diff --help
Jul 1, 2024 08:00
WOAHHHHH
Jul 1, 2024 07:57
So it's comparing 5 lines starting from line 48 at document 1 to 4 lines starting from line 48 at document 2.
Jul 1, 2024 07:57
Ah it's line number, number of lines
Jul 1, 2024 07:53
I'm not. I wrote tests because I'm maturing like that
Jul 1, 2024 07:53
@lyxal XD
Jul 1, 2024 07:52
There could be other hidden fees, or I don't know. Or great deals at X-amount-of-time over. Like Airbnb I've snatched pretty amazing deals that beat regular renting at month-plus with month discounts. But I know from at least one person (who was well over 30) that Turo was actually good and way affordable-- in the SoCal area.
Jul 1, 2024 07:51
I don't know, he'll have to look into that.
Jul 1, 2024 07:51
@att Oh wow.

Does anyone know what this means in a git diff?
Jul 1, 2024 07:50
@lyxal Hooya!
Jul 1, 2024 07:50
There are some characters in other servers, too. And not as helpful. I get that our sense of humor is a little immature, but still. And I guess small/big community contributes.
Jul 1, 2024 07:49
Yeah, but like. Way better.
Jul 1, 2024 07:47
@att Thanks att ; )
Jul 1, 2024 07:47
In Washington DC, there are a lot displayed as ~$50/day
Jul 1, 2024 07:46
Thanks!
Jul 1, 2024 07:45
I think that's totally it @RydwolfPrograms turo.com
Jul 1, 2024 07:45
Yes, that might just be it! Totally triggered a thing which wasn't triggered until you explicitly said that
Jul 1, 2024 07:45
@att OHHHHHHHHH
Jul 1, 2024 07:44
Heads up, I may not actually remember to check the email. You may have to ping me in here, or send me a message over on Discord as the best bet, if I forget.
Jul 1, 2024 07:43
@att Still don't get it!

But it's not the same...
Jul 1, 2024 07:42
I'm on the Ruby Discord server which I just found and have been very active in recently (Ruby is awesome for scripting!!), and CGCC's very own sampersand (creator of Knight lang -- Lang of the Month August 2022) is an admin on it, which is just wow.
Jul 1, 2024 07:40
That's to you too, Adám and The APL Orchard
Jul 1, 2024 07:40
Also, why does TNB have to have a way better spirit and be way better than any other coding chat community?
Jul 1, 2024 07:39
@att What do you mean?
Jul 1, 2024 07:38
Feel free to reach out whenever ; )
Jul 1, 2024 07:37
But thank you

Actually looks like this could be written point-free because the ⍵ is at the end.
Jul 28, 2024 23:24
prod ← {×/    ⍎¨ '*' split ⍵}
sum  ← {+/ prod¨ '+' split ⍵}
Jul 28, 2024 23:24
Formatted:
Jul 28, 2024 23:19
split←{(~⍵=⍺)⊆⍵}

prod ← {×/ ⍎¨ '*'split ⍵}
sum  ← {+/ prod¨ '+'split ⍵}

⎕←sum '3*4+4*5'
Jul 28, 2024 23:19
Here's a little parser.
Jul 2, 2024 20:06
@Adám Any suggestions on how to write the response?
Jul 1, 2024 21:59
(Very thorough, thoughtful, and sincere response, though.)
Jul 1, 2024 21:58
I've got a response, but it seems more geared towards configuring my own keyboard layout to the way I might like it and some ideas for how I might hardcode entering á and ⍺, within various environments.
Jul 1, 2024 21:56
@Adám I don't think exactly what I was complaining about was understood. It seems to have been interpreted as a customization thing I wanted to do, rather than the lack of a pop-up for accents supported by all other Mac-native keyboard layouts.
