@Lamak No, every row is not the same

Bsically the requirement is to check for cases where an applicant applied for a job and was matched to same job he had applied for, initially, if thats the case then i want it to return a f, if they were matched to a different job name than what they had initially applied for then i need it to return a false

@Lamak what do i need to do to check if the row values are the same?

want is trying to cmpare is the column values (row values within a column)

problem is its not working all the time

what i am trying to do is to check if job_name is the same and code is to return CODE ='MATCHED_TO_CASE' to return T otherwise F

CASE WHEN CODE ='MATCHED_TO_CASE' AND JOB_NAME=JOB_NAME THEN 'T' ELSE 'F' END AS TREND

@JackDouglas, data comes from the two tables, there is an third table that contains a a matched flag, basically it will say indicate whether someone was matched from another job. I had not used that table since i figured out if i built the right logic then i can get my results with that table

I know what the results should look like but i cant reproduce them with a query.

Thats closer but essentially where some has two job family names, those rows should be blank

@JackDouglas What i wanted is that if an employee applies to same job name more than once then i dont cant that as an application however if they applied to two disticnt job names then i will count that as an application
