This macro used to work, but has been discontinued since the last MikTeX update. After a long search, I've come to the conclusion that the bug comes from the ifnum package.

Q: Is there a package that can automatically align and number a series of calculations?

@mnr In the example you drew above there are 2 and 3! Now there is first a 2 followed by the macro with parameters 2 and 5. What does the first 2 before the macro represent? What do the parameters 2 and 5 represent?

@mmr First remove the tikzpicture environment from your macro since you will be using it inside an existing tikzpicture environment. Then give an example of use because I don't understand well.
