A place to talk with friends from the EE community about vacuu...
Sep 28, 2021 04:27
Hi everyone, I'm a junior EE student and have taken up a course on Computer Architecture and Organization.
My professor expects us to come up with a novel project that either supplements a RISC-V processor or does something radically different while supporting some variant of the RISC-V ISA.
I'm just looking for areas that have decently low hanging fruit while still being novel enough that it could result in a paper eventually.
Any help is appreciated

@Qmechanic Please help the OP who asked the transistor question, I believe they are new to StackExchange, may be helpful to share the basic guide. Closing the question may make them averse to the network

Q: Why do we consider the optical path length constant in a Cartesian Oval

Abhigyan ChattopadhyayI admit that this was from a homework question, but I'm having huge trouble wrapping my head around why the optical path length needs to be the same for a Lens that focuses every single ray emanating from a point to a single point: Here, if we assume $O$ to be the origin, $P$ to be $(0,0,z_1)$ a...

I have a really basic question but it's eating up my headspace
Sep 10, 2021 04:43
Anyone here specializing in Optics and Photonics?

One question... Are the arrival times of a Bernoulli process (i.e. number of trials till success) independent Pascal variables?
May 10, 2021 05:03
They use that stupid glossy paper that won't let you write on it
May 10, 2021 05:02
No wonder books were so expensive. And yet these days books are still expensive
May 10, 2021 05:00
:pat-pat:
May 10, 2021 04:59
I mean it's been around right?
May 10, 2021 04:59
Lol why gen-z
May 10, 2021 04:57
$\frac{-b\pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}$
May 10, 2021 04:54
Sorry I didn't read description properly
May 10, 2021 04:50
Imma try to fit in
May 10, 2021 04:50
Haha this website is all formal and all right
May 10, 2021 04:47
Or am I missing something?
May 10, 2021 04:47
Daiyum
May 10, 2021 04:47
And 1 more
May 10, 2021 04:47
Because no matter what you have 2x 3 unpopular flavours
May 10, 2021 04:46
Ah I just realised, the probability of getting all 5 flavours is 0 isn't it?
May 10, 2021 04:45
Like it'll depend on that variable
May 10, 2021 04:45
Oh. But then my answer will not be a deterministic probability xD
May 10, 2021 04:44
Like the rest will be scaled down by a factor
May 10, 2021 04:44
@AlexandruIonut Yeah, my first problem arises on what value to take for Chocolate probability and the rest
May 10, 2021 04:42
@AlexandruIonut That's exactly what I'm attempting to do
May 10, 2021 04:41
So I take it that some Markov Chain approach will work?
May 10, 2021 04:40
@Clarinetist Ahh ok.
May 10, 2021 04:39
Woahhhh it's that hard??? I have to talk to my prof then xD
I'm just a Bachelors student in Engineering, not even Math
May 10, 2021 04:37
Cool, on it
May 10, 2021 04:37
Maybe without using Monte Carlo
May 10, 2021 04:37
Do you think if I post this on Main I may get some answers?
May 10, 2021 04:36
As in the distribution is uniform but it takes on different values from it daily
May 10, 2021 04:36
But the daily values change
May 10, 2021 04:36
Otherwise it gets overcomplicated

May 10, 2021 04:56
Okay :)
May 10, 2021 04:53
Use (-b +- sqrt(b^2-4ac))/2a
May 10, 2021 04:44
Can you give me a question where this is asked?
May 10, 2021 04:43
@RajorshiKoyal Nice
May 10, 2021 04:43
I'm from Bangalore, but I'm a pure Bengali
May 10, 2021 04:43
Ooh nice :)
May 10, 2021 04:42
Are you in college?
May 10, 2021 04:42
In English this stuff isn't that important tbh
May 10, 2021 04:42
I've not learnt this stuff in English, I had a German class where we covered this topic
May 10, 2021 04:41
That's pretty much it
May 10, 2021 04:41
And Nominative is the object on which you are doing the action
May 10, 2021 04:41
Accusative is the doer
May 10, 2021 04:39
Sure, what's your question
May 10, 2021 04:39
Oh ok
May 10, 2021 04:39
What's this chat about
May 10, 2021 04:39
Hi
