Oct 18, 2011 19:53
Ok thanks a lot. How can I migrate it?
Oct 18, 2011 19:51
It must be approved, after it will be migrated?
Oct 18, 2011 19:51
Thanks a lot for help, and editing question
Oct 18, 2011 19:50
Samba now is working fine. Just that checkbox....
Oct 18, 2011 19:49
own Samba service is not good idea in this case too, because on Lion it works differently. and if user try share folder just regularly from System-PRef it will mixed up
Oct 18, 2011 19:48
And it's like deadline for this project
Oct 18, 2011 19:48
Sharing folder was big deal too, but I figured it out
Oct 18, 2011 19:48
And all people from our company have no idea how to do that
Oct 18, 2011 19:48
I work in company. But I'm alone in this project
Oct 18, 2011 19:47
no
Oct 18, 2011 19:47
I wasn't really happy, first programming experience, and working on project alone
Oct 18, 2011 19:47
I did huge work, and can't find this thing. :(
Oct 18, 2011 19:47
If you find something PLEASE help me
Oct 18, 2011 19:45
Yes but I can't find what happens when you enable it
Oct 18, 2011 19:45
I'm running bash commands from APP to do that
Oct 18, 2011 19:45
even Sharing a folder it's big deal
Oct 18, 2011 19:45
Oh. beleive there are so not many API on OS X
Oct 18, 2011 19:44
Don't you think it's something really not hard tricky command?
Oct 18, 2011 19:44
It's the same if you try to access from Windows computer to MAC shares
Oct 18, 2011 19:43
I don't know how it is possible to give access without enabling it
Oct 18, 2011 19:43
for giving ACcess
Oct 18, 2011 19:43
I'm creating user, and need just to enable that thing
Oct 18, 2011 19:43
exactlyyy
Oct 18, 2011 19:42
ok
Oct 18, 2011 19:41
I am creating user, and adding it to group Staff. After I just need to check that check box for that user from Options SMB
Oct 18, 2011 19:40
the rest is done
Oct 18, 2011 19:40
probably it's just simple one line command. But this is what I need
Oct 18, 2011 19:40
So you can use that account, username and password, for accessing
Oct 18, 2011 19:40
separetly
Oct 18, 2011 19:40
I don't know why MAC did it, why you must enable SMB on that account.
Oct 18, 2011 19:39
It's like the same thing if you try to connect from windows
Oct 18, 2011 19:39
But still you need to go to Options, and enable Account for SMB
Oct 18, 2011 19:39
When you share folder, you list users, that can have access to it. Default is Stuff, Everyobody, and Owner
Oct 18, 2011 19:38
Do you have Windows computer at home as well?
Oct 18, 2011 19:38
So now this part, is about permissions. Because they don't want, that everybody have access to that shares, it must be username, password protected
Oct 18, 2011 19:37
I spend lot's of hours to figure out how to create share from terminal, on all 3 previous version of MAC using SMB, now it's work
Oct 18, 2011 19:37
it doesn't use anything different
Oct 18, 2011 19:36
yes I need SMB
Oct 18, 2011 19:36
And server reads that shares
Oct 18, 2011 19:36
Ok. It's regular folder sharing.
Oct 18, 2011 19:35
what is SSH?
Oct 18, 2011 19:35
To be honest, I don't know what iti is. I'm new in programming
Oct 18, 2011 19:34
I think the best idea, is to create user, add it to Staff group. and enable SMB sharing on that account
Oct 18, 2011 19:34
So you send to server - PAth, username, and password
Oct 18, 2011 19:33
but now they want, to have some password, and username for all shares. So not everyone can access that shares
Oct 18, 2011 19:33
This part already works
Oct 18, 2011 19:33
AFter App share that folders, using SMB. it sends information over Upnp to Server . So server knows new shared folder
