Here!
Nov 30, 2016 11:05
@WillHunting Hey yes! I am here :-)
Nov 29, 2016 09:32
Or personal profile rather
Nov 29, 2016 09:32
Do you think this is a good personalia for a resume?
Nov 29, 2016 09:32
That is what I have it as right now
Nov 29, 2016 09:31
Well-driven and motivated. Quality will always be above
quantity, but in an efficient and productive manner.
Past employers have complimented me on my work ethic,
productivity, engagement with customers and my ability
to learn the ropes quickly. Collaborating with others to
achieve a certain objective on time and with excellence
is one of the many qualities I take pride in.
Nov 29, 2016 09:31
And yes I turned it into employers :-)
Nov 29, 2016 09:31
Thank you!
Nov 29, 2016 09:30
I was just about to send it away
Nov 29, 2016 09:30
Phew
Nov 29, 2016 08:33
Very much appreciated
Nov 29, 2016 08:32
Thank you for all your kindness and help
Nov 29, 2016 08:32
Alright! I will be sure to contact you soon
Nov 29, 2016 08:32
Did your PTSD symptoms worsen by a lot when you got out of the traumatic situation? I am not sure if I can ask that question or what your traumatic experience was, so if you do not want to give a reply that is fine. Because it took me by surprise that my symptoms of flashbacks, dissociation of the world around me and anxiety levels shot through the roof when I finally started living on my own and got to rest
Nov 29, 2016 08:28
I will be sure to check it out! I have been looking for good movies for a while now, it's always nice to see a highly rated one you haven't seen before
Nov 29, 2016 08:26
@WillHunting I will keep this very close to my heart.
Nov 29, 2016 08:25
I think that is really good advice. That is another reason I stopped medication; I think medication prevent you from being comfortable with yourself or proud of yourself for overcoming things. I think the joy and self confidence you gain by overcoming things is one of the most important things on your way to recovery.
Nov 29, 2016 08:20
I am even paranoid to a degree when it comes to psychologists, medication, etc. because if they would actually solve problems 100%, they would be out of work. But that might be a skewed way of thinking caused by occasional times of pessimism
Nov 29, 2016 08:19
I personally have stopped taking my medication as well. I do not think they help, I feel like they mask problems that can be solved through other means and are able to change you to levels of which I am not comfortable with sometimes.
Nov 29, 2016 08:18
Thank you very much, I will write it down right now
Nov 29, 2016 08:15
@WillHunting You are right about that. I guess I didn't really think about it like that in the context of effectiveness of treatment
Nov 29, 2016 08:14
It makes me wish selfimprovement is infinite, because the moment you hit the wall with that you have reached the end of to which extend you can control your condition
Nov 29, 2016 08:13
That is true. I think a big part of severity and symptoms of a mental condition are also influenced by way of thinking, sensitivity, your perception of your internal and external world, how stress resistant you are and one that is overlooked a lot; lifestyle
Nov 29, 2016 08:10
I wondered because they are advising me to follow that treatment option, but wasn't sure if it helps. I personally do not have any firsthand experience with OCD, but I have read about it a lot and I can imagine it to be a nightmare, especially in certain settings
Nov 29, 2016 08:07
Do you have experience with EMDR?
Nov 29, 2016 08:06
I thought it might be too over-the-top
Nov 29, 2016 08:06
I noticed the excellent thing as well.
Nov 29, 2016 08:03
I personally don't feel very ready to go on a cruise ship and thinking about leaving the house makes my anxiety levels rise through the roof.. but in my personal experience I think it is the best way to get my life back. I can imagine your case being even worse than mine, though and I honestly wish you the best of luck with my whole heart.
Nov 29, 2016 08:03
And of course I truly wish you the best. I myself have been diagnosed with PTSD, severe anxiety and agoraphobia and haven't been to school or work in the past 2 years. Knowing how hard it is thinking time slips by and the trapped feeling it creates, and knowing you haven't been able to work on your dreams for the past ten years is awful to say the least.
Nov 29, 2016 07:58
May I ask you what kind of illness? - If it's not too personal
Nov 29, 2016 07:58
It hurts me to hear that, honestly.
Nov 29, 2016 07:58
I have a small "Personalia" section in my resume containing this text: "Well-driven and motivated. Quality will always be above
quantity, but in an efficient and productive manner.
Past employees have complimented me on my work ethic,
productivity, engagement with customers and my ability
to learn the ropes quickly. I am excellent in working with
other people to achieve a certain objective on time
and with excellence."
Nov 29, 2016 07:57
Oh, could I possibly ask you for one more favor?
Nov 29, 2016 07:56
I would like to thank you a lot though. A lot of your help with my earlier iteration of my letter helped me on my way of creating a letter I am confident with. I think that is the best gift you could have given me
Nov 29, 2016 07:54
Only one chance hehe
Nov 29, 2016 07:54
I want to come off as very professional and want to make sure I have the highest possible chance of succeeding
Nov 29, 2016 07:53
I agree. However, seeing how English is not my native language, I want to be sure that some of my stylistic choices are not informal or an insult in some way
Nov 29, 2016 07:52
And yes that makes sense!
Nov 29, 2016 07:51
but I am not sure
Nov 29, 2016 07:51
I think that might be a weak opener to a pretty strong letter (in my opinion)
Nov 29, 2016 07:51
The only thing I am left insecure about is the beginning of "My name is..."
Nov 29, 2016 07:51
Do you personally think this letter is an improvement over the other one?
Nov 29, 2016 07:50
Seeing how it's the Holland America Line I think it makes sense
Nov 29, 2016 07:50
And yes, I think using American spelling and punctuation is better, even though I prefer the British English spelling and punctuation
Nov 29, 2016 07:49
So this would be better?

"In this letter, I would like to explain which positions within Holland America Line I believe my skills set makes me competitive for and also what inspired me to want to be a part of your team."
Nov 29, 2016 07:48
And I cannot believe I did not see some of these mistakes even after reading it through multiple times
Nov 29, 2016 07:48
Thank you very much for the heads up on 'you and me' and 'you and I'. I really wasn't sure which one was correct, even after Googling.
Nov 29, 2016 07:36
This is what I have now :-)
Nov 29, 2016 07:35
but I still couldn't trust myself to send it
