@AndrewT. i dont remember if the origins of the magical girl system is covered at any point in the series, but it's interesting to speculate about

id assume the incubators have personality profiles of prospective candidates too so they know which ones are more naive vs which ones are more skeptical and are better to avoid

@SPArcheon-onstrike it's been a while since ive watched madoka but i recall kyuubey's exact wording being more along the lines of "given the nature of miracles, i would not be surprised if it were possible" kyuubey is very skilled at wording things in a way that imply or suggest a certain thing, but if you think about it, it really doesn't. lying by omission etc. are also in its skillset

even in the later loops i remember there being a few moments where homura displayed genuine surprise, and i think that seems less likely the more loops she's been through

i personally choose to believe there werent that many loops, and that the number is closer to the number of loops displayed. it makes it a bit less depressing haha ^_^;;
