Also chat events, but I wonder what kind of chat events could be done here. SciFi was watching Star Trek episodes together, and live-blogging them together (the transcripts were really fun to look at)
I think any event we do should include a chat component, that stealthily promotes chat (also, an overt promotion of chat can be done). But I know in the past, other sites have done things like "question title clean up weekend" and one of the aspects of it was "hang out in chat and figure out ways to clean up titles" etc.
@BennySkogberg I think that having too high expectations is the first thing that has to go; usually that keeps things from getting done. I'd rather have a steady stream of nice, quick blog posts than one super detailed one a month (which is how a lot of SE blogs run right now)
I haven't had time to go through all the blog Meta posts yet, because there are a few of them. Which is nice, because it means the community has already been thinking about it
@BennySkogberg Yeah. Of course there is the dilemma of, if no one's coming to a site, how do they know to go to a blog, so...that's also a problem. But I think a blog is just another thing our users can share around.
Sharing questions is also a great way to get new eyes to the site, but sometimes it takes people a liiiiiittle bit of time to get acclimated to what they're looking at when they come across a Stack question. Blogs are blogs, text, I think people generally know what's up with them
But also, blogs are a little bit more...sharable and digestible, I think, than questions. Mostly because the internet at large knows what a blog is. I look at blogs as advertisements for the site, sorta.
@BennySkogberg Yeah, this is all a new-ish process, so I'm not certain how much of an increase in Visitors/Day is unreasonable. I'd say getting it up to 5.8-6k a day would be a solid start over the next few months.

It's a section I have to push my way through because it is INCREDIBLY CROWDED with gaming fans, lining up to play a ton of new video games, none of which I am interested in because I don't play video games.
I don't have any other information other than "i've seen it in person." Yes, I've gone four years, but I don't spend any time in the video game section.
