Yes, you're absolutely right, this is exactly what's happening. Still, I'll try to avoid these spots.

I'd like to address the anti-pattern part particularly. Sometimes code generation is an anti-pattern, and sometimes it isn’t. When first T4 text templates emerged as a tool for code generation, they were used specifically to overcome the limitations of the language used. For example, you have data stored in an object and you would like to enumerate the keys and values for this object's members. Now, with reflection easily accessible in many languages, this seems like a trivial task, but at some point, recording object models into maps and generating code from them was the best way.

@djsmiley2k Although, I don't think they’d be selling in normal retail, they wouldn’t be oem.

@djsmiley2k How do I find out?

@kerbalspacebecky Crazy. Thanks for heads up.

@kerbalspacebecky Well, I know for a fact that Intel Ultimate N 633ANHMW works for the model of laptop (or, rather, someone I trust said that it worked on theirs), but I have access to Intel Network 7260.HMWWB.R, so I am trying to decide if I should pull the trigger on that one or use a trusted USB dongle.

@djsmiley2k Thanks.

Can I just use any mini-pci wifi card on a laptop, or should I be mindful of which cards are supported by which model? (upgrading wifi card)
