@Mr.Mindor That was how I envisioned them, but didn't want to invalidate answers which had been made when I realised I'd not mentioned that...

@CertifcateJunky From lastpass.com/whylastpass_technology.php - "A large number of PBKDF2-SHA256 rounds are utilized to create your key, with the ability to increase the number of rounds over time to render brute forcing your master password impossible."

It's called "security by obscurity". It can slow someone down, but that's about it.

@SmokeDispenser Don't think Wii can... It can't handle some channels at all. Didn't update properly on some of them. Not sure how they managed that
Apr 15, 2016 13:05
Might also mean some devices can't connect anymore - most phones are OK, but some consoles or similar don't handle 5GHz wifi
Apr 15, 2016 12:59
@Sam Change that thing that says "Channel: Auto" to a less congested channel. It doesn't look like it has a helpful graph of them for you though
Apr 15, 2016 12:58
@SmokeDispenser Depends how paranoid you are...
Apr 15, 2016 12:56
@SmokeDispenser Mine does. Admittedly, I have a non-standard router for my connection...
Apr 15, 2016 12:47
Of your router config. Usually the one you access through an address like 192.168.1.254 or 192.168.1.1 - if you're not sure, don't go looking though, as you can potentially lock yourself out of the network
Apr 15, 2016 12:44
Depends on the router - should be a setting in the admin section
Apr 15, 2016 12:41
Check if your neighbours have new routers - it could be getting congested. Look at moving to a less busy channel on the router
Apr 15, 2016 11:08

Apr 13, 2016 13:06
A well configured IDS will halt a decent amount of malicious behaviour, but you can't put one in and say "that's it, we're safe now"
