A: Align text in exact center (vertically and horizontally) without creating outlines?

Much of this is determined by the font file itself. Some fonts have extra leading built in which can cause odd vertical alignments. If you find you've got a font with the odd leading, you can select the text and apply Effect > Path > Outline Object. Then in the Preferences ensure Use Preview Bou...

@Ryan that's the problem, the align panel aligns based on the type's bounding box, not on what you see so depending on the font that won't work (see my previous links)

there's an option in the preferences to turn it on (and I believe it's in the align panel menu dropdown too, but that was added recently IIRC)

@MathCubes if you're having trouble aligning point text with another object (because the text isn't centered in its own bounding box) then turn on "Use Preview Bounds"

I've got nothing against deleting obvious spam, but it needs to be absolutely clear it's purely there for spam

@WELZ FYI promotion in profiles is allowed, so if a user has any legitimate non-spam actions on a site then they're not going to have their accounts deleted for stuff in their profile
