But that's not what we’re talking about here.
Sep 9, 2019 16:09
@pacmaninbw I do agree
Sep 9, 2019 16:09
What is so bad about full updated code?
Sep 9, 2019 16:08
@pacmaninbw Yes, that's exactly why I started wondering in the first place
Sep 9, 2019 16:02
@pacmaninbw It's not as if most comments on codes are of the form "don't do that, do this instead", providing code explaining how might benefit anyone that would ask themselve the question and feels clearer than plain english statements (for the most part).
Sep 9, 2019 15:37
@pacmaninbw I don't get what's wrong with providing code that support earlier observations? I do it all the time.

Probably needs manual rollback
Aug 30, 2019 09:28
@Duga Both adds more context to the question to try to address the UWA close reason AND incorporate advice from the existing answers thus invalidating them…

Tim Post Mar 5 UPDATE: This order is proving a bit more laborious to expedite than our vendor had originally anticipated, so these boxes haven't been shipped out yet. Anyone who filled in a form should receive an email with tracking information as soon as their box is shipped. Anyone who didn't catch t...

Jul 12, 2019 09:57
@Mast from urllib.parse import quote_plus ;)
Jul 12, 2019 09:40
@CaptainObvious To what degree is it working code?
Jul 12, 2019 09:39
In computer security, a billion laughs attack is a type of denial-of-service (DoS) attack which is aimed at parsers of XML documents.It is also referred to as an XML bomb or as an exponential entity expansion attack. == Details == The example attack consists of defining 10 entities, each defined as consisting of 10 of the previous entity, with the document consisting of a single instance of the largest entity, which expands to one billion copies of the first entity. In the most frequently cited example, the first entity is the string "lol", hence the name "billion laughs". The amount of computer...

Q: Performance issues with double for loops, EM-algorithm

armaraThe alpha that I create is not created in a crazily efficient way I know, but the main bottleneck in this code is in what I call the "Maximization step" (see comments in code). There are double for-loops twice (with list comprehensions inside), and the reason for this is that I need to use the co...
