@JeffSchaller Sort of? I don't think it's an attempt of obfuscation. As in, it was never meant to be a usable number. I think it's just there as noise. Not sure if there is some sort of goal to having it (does it achieve something) or it's just more of the other random garbage we've seen they seem to use as filler.
@lyxal it's probably better to just not keep the character in the generated pattern and let it be consumed by [\W_]. It's a bit rare that it's really needed to match specifics under that pattern for "C & L lawn" matching "c[\W_]*+l[\W_]*+lawn" shouldn't lead to problems. I don't expect any false positives that would require matching the & character for sure.
