If it's more on a borderline answer and the edit is good and you wouldn't VTD the edited answer then everything's all good. If the answer is crap/NAA/delete worthy before and after the edit then that's somehting to flag I reckon
If you suspect anything like that you can always flag it and we can look into it. It should be pretty obvious if it is an abuse of the system. That said it isn't too much of an abuse because it doesn't clear the delete votes on the answer, just the flags so it can always get deleted in the same way as usual
Unfortunately, while I recognize the importance of the change, there is not currently quite enough information here to proceed. This change affects ~28,000 links across the network. I am able to locate some official documentation about wikia.com's move to fandom.com, so I'm not worried about the ...
@fez I handled the flag (we can't reply on comment flags for some reason), I like keeping all information on the post and when it wasn't edited into the question I declined it. I knew there was an answer but it's still useful information to keep around especially when the remembered date doesn't match the accepted answer
The delete vote came from the review but unless something has changed you never used to be able to be able to Delete in LQP if the post had a positive score, it gets changed to Recommend Deletion. Perhaps the vote came in after the LQP review was loaded and then the final Delete vote from within the review doesn't have the same post score checks on it?
If two story-identification questions both have the same answer, and that answer has been confirmed (on each question) by the querent in the form of acceptance or a confirmatory comment, one of the questions may be closed as a duplicate of the other.
In most cases, this is quite straightforward...
@JudithJones FWIW there are some people that are just against self answering questions for whatever reason. I've got quite a lot of self answered questions on the site and almost all of them have a downvote on the Q and/or A and attracted comments at some point about them being self answers
@Laurel People here have always been too harsh on deleting short story id answers. The answer is the work, anything else should be encouraged but without it, it is still an answer
Here are two examples from Movies with similar translation questions but they each use a different way of doing it. I suppose it depends on how many you want to cover and how many there are to cover
Also just a quick heads up but I think at the end of this week into next week flag handling times are going to be quite slow with one on strike and a couple of us are away
If you have the review open before the question is closed it won't let you vote to close in the review but you can still vote to leave open to complete the review
I will admit I like Fridays (apart from the obvious) because that's when me and my boss are both in the office together and I get more than a passing interaction with folks
The problem is for the most part it's a good job with decent perks and close to home (and now also 2 days WFH). I don't think I'd like it too much if where I moved to was too corporate
@Jenayah There were 2 others when I started and now just me. I think just a timing thing cos he wants to do another apprentice and we have a big project coming up where we probably can't devote the time... not that I think it's a good enough reason to wait but hey ho
